Now that health care has become such a hot potato in the US, why dont these AI people do something about it? My suggestion is that you create a separate partition on your PC in which you run offline a ada or medgemmi LML on a minimal distro, which feeds directly off your medical records stored encrypted on your PC. If you combine this with a price aggregator, and feed into your medical lml both your personalized health data, but also available off the counter tests and medication, with price comparison, you would have something where there is now nothing. And you can expand on it by adding video consultations with doctors in a low cost country, that is a very cheap remote specialist. If that remote GP then could prescribe to you some medication. that would be great. But here we enter into more difficult terrain. Still, this an attempt to create something free for those with no help at all. It is just a common interface for free options that now exist. But they are worth mentioning because you do actually get both cheap blood work, remedies based on science and a real specialist, but remote.
In addition, there are many commercial phone apps which utilize the sensors on your phone. Here you could make one app that covers what is possible in stead of one for each, and you can also update phones and pc with optional devices to enhance diagnostics, for instance for those with specific needs. But simply automating the flow of these diagnostic data into your PC health journal will make the AI diet recommendations or other recommendations more accurate. If you then go berserk, and add to your offline encrypted records the result of DNA profiles in terms of health…) And this I envision to be completely offline in a separate encrypted partition, which means that price comparison engines would be a simple browser add on in your regular browser, but you could download searches and transfer these in your offline encrypted partition via usb, after reboot. Also the browser add on would offer zipped or rared packages of searches containing price data, which you then downloaded and integrated into your offline distro, and only there would you search out the product or service you need, free from those who might see your searches by normal snooping via the net. You would be offline.
I would also like to add that in an age when there is exponential difference between computing power in data centers and your tiny PC, new laws concerning the protection of health data must be passed because of the cryptography issue. Meaning that those who steal your records, must be prevented from using it for anything. So you may steal it, but if it becomes known you will achieve nothing, only go to prison. So you get no benefits of any kind, concerning any issue at all by stealing medical data. If the state does not do this, there will be huge issues. And i must remind you that everyone can become ill, even those who are powerful or who think they are protected. Then they too must visit a doctor. So it not just for those of us who do not matter, but also for the tech barons themselves.
I must add that I am not a doctor, i dont even have any course in science above high school. My background is in digital humanities. So my knowledge proteins and carbohydrates is limited what I have been able to google. And until quite recently, I trusted the system in place here in Europe. But I then read about what is happening in the uS.

Uh huh.
How long before insurance stops covering doctor visits in favor of requiring you use a chatbot?
You are talking about those who pay for something. I am talking about those who cannot pay. So, if those who pay get worse service, they must raise that with their provider, and consider switching. If i get married, it is of no hindrance to your private life, is it? Therefore, allowing others to have something does not detract from your own. In fact, the natural response is to be happy for them. Some people have something which they previously could not afford.
People pay for what they can afford, for most people that means paying for a plan through their employer. If service gets worse their only choice is to go onto the open market and move to a plan that’s either even worse, or to a more expensive plan they can’t afford.
Seeing a real doctor will be a privilege only the very wealthy can afford, everyone else will get chatbots.
