So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn’t do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.
I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

I suspect the mod system there is somewhat based on the number of reports now and crazies are abusing it
Site wide Perma banned for calling someone a “Fucking piece of human garbage” while they were all up and down a thread advocating for murdering trans people.
I got banned. I checked a few days and he was still posting. Not even a suspension.
Apparently I was “spreading hate or promoting violence”.
I think that’s the exact same thing they hit me with.
The crazy part is that i don’t think I’ve even dated a local in years here (my last girlfriend was Chinese, and my previous one Pakistani) I have a lesbian family member, and we have plenty of gay and trans people who I hang out with most weeks in my climbing group. And I lived in a Muslim country for years
I’m the first one always telling others to let courts handle everything too and (yep, even Trump), and reporting all the subtle violent threats on Facebook people make and argue with them publicly that they’re being a**holes

Now? This is nothing new. I got falsely banned after being targeted by a botnet after pissing off a botter and it took a week to process the appeal.
You got to appeal? In my case, for my temp ban, it said there was no appeal process
