The only way to keep my ADHD at bay when I’m on the computer is to be radical with my tabs. Don’t need it in the next hour? That’s definitely a bookmark, not a tab. I configured my browser to not save tabs between sessions so I always start clean. I’d long be dead otherwise, suffocated by my own browser tabs.

I work in IT (almost exclusively Windows) and have been using Linux on my private machines for 8 years now. I barely know anything about the command line. I don’t have to be a Linux nerd because it just works with the GUI. (KDE Plasma. Can’t speak for other DEs)

Home assistant is great and apart from voice recognition, its infinitely more powerful than any corporate home automation product. Voice is tough to do locally and on low powered hardware, but its getting there.

Can you back that claim up at all? Qwant is not owned by Huawei. They don’t even hold shares as far as I can tell.

I saw Tool live at a festival in 2019. I had never heard of them before, I’m more of a punk rock guy. Their show absolutely blew me away. Surreal experience. I’ve listened to their albums a lot ever since.

I usually only listen to one album at a time, front to back. But I think most people don’t do that.

I have the same thing with my best friend. It’s been almost 15 years now and we trust each other blindly if we use the word.

I loved that book, it was eye-opening. Being evil is mostly a cultural or peer pressure thing.

We run a lot of Windows servers for specialized applications that don’t really have viable alternatives. It sucks, but it’s the same reason we use Windows clients.
