I’ve encountered some rude people on Lemmy, but also a lot of people who love genuine discussion, helping others and want the best for the platform and communities.

Same here - I check in on Reddit once a day but only to see what a wasteland it is becoming! I moved from other platforms mostly to Reddit over a decade ago and more than happy to make the change again now.

Liftoff is my Lemmy app of choice, and it is great to see the communities grow and change as time moves on.

Completely anecdotal, but when I had a look at r/all, it looked way less busy and lower quality, full of subs I’d never heard of, and generally…not that great.

There are so many potentially NSFW posts showing up in the main feed because of all the odd subs it is probably a good idea to report them so there are no issues with the advertisers.
