  • Apple TV+ is currently the only streaming service I’m paying for (and only because it’s bundled in with my family’s Apple One subscription); but honestly their offerings are a tier above the slop on most other services.

Between Severance, The Silo, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, Shrinking and a bunch of others that escape me right now — it somewhat reminds me of the “good ol’ days of early Netflix exclusives” in terms of breadth and quality.

So with that said, I’m also a sucker for future/dystopia media in particular (living my rewatch of Westworld at the moment, half-way through S4); so I’ll definitely be checking this out.

  • MSI have dropped AMD as a GPU partner as of this generation (funnily enough - also the same generation they had proven to be their highest selling!), and their next generation of PSUs have dropped PCIe 6+2 for whatever the current HPV12 implementation is, so they’re in my shit-list too.

Gigabyte’s warranty support has been ass in the past (at least in my region), and their 3000-series GPUs were prone to overheating due to poor quality thermal pads. Oh, and their PSUs were sub-par and prone to exploding!

I think ASRock is the only ‘Tier 1’ brand (that I’m aware of) without massive controversies in the past few years?

  • A long time ago, I had a pair of Puma shoes that had a similar look to F1 driving shoes, and they were awesome due to their light weight and thin soles - ever since then I’ve a convert to that style of shoe.

Maybe consider the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66? It’s a timeless design with plenty of colorways, so you should be able to get one that suits your tastes. They are also available in mid-runner form in case you want more of a boot fit (padded ankle).
