Silly question, but have you already set up family sharing? Are you able to access other services included in the subscription!

It finally lets you select the display language! Hurray! Scrolling is still choppy AF though. It’s basically the same as the mobile app, which isn’t saying much.
Same, but in Japan.
That would be great to be honest. I have many shopping lists in reminders named as the stores which I frequent, with one catch all called “shopping” they are in a group called “shopping” because of course they are. Until recently adding reminders worked like “Siri add xyz to my shopping list”. But now Siri pops up saying “do you mean shopping, or shopping?” And clicking either option results in an error that the app needs to be opened. How fucking stupid can it be? One isn’t even a list! Works fine from my Apple Watch though. Changed the category to “to buy” because fuck me, right?
And the stand or cable will cost extra, too!
I feel like nobody here read the actual article.
I agree. Most people are acting like they are killing off the whole product line (of which there is only one product currently). However, the article clearly states that a second generation product is in the works.
I see. I mean, Apple had printers in the early 90s (or earlier perhaps) but they were just rebadged HPs.
If you’re looking for color calibration you might want to look for a professional grade printer. Dye sublimation printers will offer the best quality for photography, which I assume is what you want a printer for, especially since you mention color calibration.
And dye sublimation printers are not compatible with apple’s airprint, so this could be a viable endeavour were Apple the enter the printer market again. But, I just don’t think there is demand for such a product. The printer market for consumers is already flooded with options, and most of them work just out of the box with Apple products.
Are you having any particular problems with your printer and Apple devices?
How would you define “works in a really easy way”? I don’t have any problem with current printer technology. What issues are you encountering? HP is a steaming pile of manure. But Brother and EPSON both make excellent models.
I’ll save you guys from watching. It was just a bog standard crappy USB C cable. This video reeks of advertising to me. The tool which was used to identify the cable (which tbh I thought was pretty cool, so I searched it using the obvious hints in the video) is a kickstarter which is starting sometime today. Awfully sus!
Zero here for me. You using an ad blocker?
It’s not about losing face. It is the fact that seishain, or permanent employees are very hard to fire. The company needs to keep a record of the employee’s failures.
In addition, the company needs to implement and execute improvement plans. The results of those need to be reviewed. The next plan has to be implemented. And so on.
Only when they fail to show improvement a certain number of times (I don’t know exactly) can they be legally fired. You can’t just fire someone like in the U.S. style of at will employment. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
So it is easier and cheaper to “persuade” the employee to resign.
However, this terrible behavior is considered to be power harassment, and all large companies now have ethics hotlines. Also, companies have to provide annual trainings on issues like this. So, I hope this practice is decreasing.
Thanks! I’m in Japan, but glad to know this exists!
I think this is something that is better provided by government. I think the question should be why doesn’t California have an early warning alert system similar to the likes of Japan, which will notify all cellphone and smartphone users in affected areas regardless of their brand of device?
I recommend a combination of the following Safari extensions: Stop the Madness Pro, UnTrap for YouTube, and SponsorBlock.
Total cost was about the same as one month of ad free YouTube. Works beautifully.
I can finally enjoy YouTube again after giving up jailbreaking.
Making some shortcuts retrains muscle memory. I set a dedicated tab in Safari just for YouTube so it doesn’t clutter up my regular browsing.
And where I live you pay for SMS. So blue is free, but green is not. Also helpful.
Thanks for the heads up. I rarely have a need for photoshop these days, but I grabbed the iPad only version of Affinity Photo just in case as it was so cheap in my region.
I’m sure it’ll get some use. Once or twice a year I try using a combination of smartphone apps to do some editing as I can’t be bothered dusting off my old slow laptop. So this will be cool. And it still runs on older hardware. iOS 15 is still supported!
Yeah the (lack of) difference in price between generations is ridiculous. I just bought a 13 after using my 8 for six years.
The only difference between the 13 and 14 was once graphics core. So there was no way I was considering the 14.
But the 15 has USB C, which don’t get me wrong is great, but when you have a ton of lightning cables that will need to be replaced, it doesn’t seem like such a good idea (especially when family members are still using phones with lightning).
If you use a dns level ad blocker there aren’t any ads. I didn’t know there were any until I read your post.
Looks great. I wish my bathroom looked that nice
University would have been a better example.
