I’m curious on what others’ thoughts are on this: do you say/write “a history” or “an history”? I personally use “a history”, but i’ve seen significant usage of “an history”. Do people not pronounce the ‘h’ in “history”?

I haven’t personally tried them, but maybe pilotis? Bonus is that some of their shoes look casual enough to wear out and about

Huh, reminds me of myself except the unapologetic part (maybe i’ll change over to that someday). I do feel like the selfish/stubborn part of me is insurmountable and incompatible with the types of relationships i envision for myself.
