I’ve found them comfy on the large-format iPhone. I wonder if they stay near the same absolute size on smaller phones?

Aha, I took the incorrect assumption that all app-wide settings would show up under the settings menu.
Just noticed that mark read on scroll does appear to give the check just as soon as the post scrolls out of view like it’s marked read, but often isn’t effective, so if i leave a feed and return to it the post is back and unchecked/unread. But if I react, then it does effectively mark it.
Should this show up somewhere as an app-wide setting instead of only as a per-community view tweak?
thanks! i think its a good feature, i was just oblivious to it.
That was it! So does mlem just count posts you’ve replied or reacted to as read? Or are there some other criteria? I would maybe want some indication that there are hidden posts available to unhide.
edit: also saw the “mark read on scroll”
For me I think I would still want the ability to collapse a post (via somewhat-rarely-used control/widget, under the hamburger etc) but disable the behavior of collapsing it when tapping inside it.
i am definitely an enjoyer of the collapsibility of posts/post trees in the comment thread… but when its a longpost it just makes me lose my place while reading. maybe its just not a common-enough case to care that much… but longposts are often some premium stuff!
it just keeps getting better! thank you mlem devs!
did vaping make it easier to taper off?

dang, so she pulled a sled for a decade?
the thing that most grinds my gears is that there are settings that appear in both control panels and settings, appear to be changeable in both, but only one or the other actually changes anything.
yes it has to do with the view settings. which is slightly unintuitive to me
That’s it, thanks! I did not know that was what Tappable Links referred to!
seems that collapsing an image-only comment is only doable by tapping the far right edge of the comment box and i often get a mis-tap and instead frustratingly get the image fullscreen instead… which is exactly the opposite of what i want to achieve with that action 😂
