Hang on, why not open the port to jellyfin to the internet?
I have a lifetime Plex pass so its not urgent but I have a containers running emby and jellyfin to check them out. When I decide which one I planned to open it up and give people logins.

If I could let you copy mine I’d be the first to offer a torrent.
I can invite you OP. Message me an email.
Edit to add, look into Usenet, sonarr, radarr. IPT or other torrents suck.
That being said, if you want an IPT invite PM me an email.
When it was just Netflix streaming wasn’t so bad but now that everyone and their dog wants to get in on it, it’s far to expensive. Greed would cause me to pay $15-25 per streaming service, search for the thing I want to watch and hope its there. If its not on any of them, search where I could try and pay to rent it, and if that fails I… Look for physical on eBay or just not watch it.
Or… My cost per month is about $25 (power, VPN, indexers, Usenet, etc) plus time and hardware to keep my equipment running. To watch something I login to *arr, add what I want, wait a couple minutes, and then start watching it.

He already took my wife. Watch out.
And a monthly weekly subscription.
This is how it worked for me. Followed by just fucking get up. Tired? Slept like shit? Don’t want to go? Just fucking get up and go, I don’t want to be late or lose my job, I’ll be homeless. I don’t recommend this attitude as you’ll burn yourself out but it’s how I get up.
My problem is everything else. Where do you find time to tidy the house, clean, do laundry, shower, brush your teeth, now the lawn, etc, etc and then have energy for hobbies?
Canadian here, it’d take a LOT more than 1 million USD for me to want to be the 51st state. I’d bet most people in Greenland feel similar.
Yeah, it’s a lot more in CAD. Not sure I’m going to buy it anymore. The Direct was a bit of a disappointment to me.
I will be doing exactly this if its ~$400 CAD or less. Otherwise I’ll buy a used one and install a cheap modchip when that’s an option
This is actually really interesting, I might have to try this.
I currently use a USB stick with a key file on it that I need to plug in on boot. Something like this but it wasn’t that easy for me. https://openterprise.it/2022/07/fedora-unlock-luks-full-disk-encrypted-system-using-usb-stick/
Edit: I wonder if yours will work on my VPS… I’d love to encrypt that.
BUT, I’m not sure how well it works… While rutorrent says port forwarding is working, and It seems to be from my tests… Checking randomly the only peers I see that connect to me also have ovpn IPs so I’m not sure if I’m actually accessible or not.
I selfhost everything I use, including the *arr stack. I do have a VPS with hetzner.com and they’re pretty good but I wouldn’t personally host torrent or *arr with them. If you want someone else to host I’d suggest doing the research and finding something that works for you. My only experience is 5+ years ago with dediseedbox.com so YMMV if you choose them. They do have a cheap-ish VPS.
I think Docker is the way to go either on a VPS or on your own box. If you like a webUI for it use https://www.portainer.io/.
If you do go with docker be very careful about what ports you expose, you can easily open up everything publicly so be sure to double check and bind almost everything to 127.0.0.1.
If you have any specific questions I’d be happy to help.
If you’re paying for a seedbox you can either get a vps (Linux VM) and do it yourself or just pay for the rutorrent web interface. I use to use dediseedbox.com awhile ago and had no complaints. My suggestion is to just have whatever provider host it so you don’t have to use docker or anything.
If you want to do it yourself, then docker is the way to go and you should probably get a VPN on top of that so your traffic is mixed with other people. A dedicated server or VPS means you get your own IP and it can be linked to you.
This is 100% my opinion too.
I’m annoyed that I supported them and got a lifetime account on sale. At the same time I’m happy that I can take my time testing and moving my family and friends over to something else.
Canadian IT worker.
I refuse to drink at work parties. Everyone else does and I get some peer pressure to drink but I don’t care. Its normal to see people get super drunk and embarrass themselves which is why I don’t even start.
Specifically at lunch, if I’m not driving and others are having a beer I will but only one. If I’m driving, it depends on how I’m feeling.
Working from home I’ve been known to have a beer or two on a Friday afternoon by my self.
When I left my last job we had a meeting at the end of the day with the guys I got along with and anyone they wanted to invite. There was about 15 people from different departments with their cameras on having a drink or smoking (pot) if they didn’t drink as a goodbye. Was a nice goodbye. Lol
I host pingvin for people to send stuff to me. To send, usually I’ll just move the file into a folder that exposed to Nginx with indexing and send that link. Otherwise I’ll also just use my pingvin instance.
