Later this year: “I was right, but I actually meant to say ‘into’ instead of ‘to’ and ‘someone’s’ instead of ‘your’”
Maybe you should blame yourselves for failing to convince the American people to vote for candidates who would cut off aid to Israel. Maybe, just maybe, camping in people’s public spaces, spraypainting people’s neighborhoods with “FUCK ISRAEL”, and oh yeah, helping get a fascist dictator elected wasn’t the best way to make those people want to side with you.
I mean I sympathize with actual Palestinians. Nobody should have to suffer what they’ve suffered. But let’s be honest - Israel gets away with it for a reason. And that reason is globally, no one wants to side with Hamas (which by the way, actually films themselves murdering children. Brilliant.), and in the US, no one wants to side with edgelord protesters who just piss everyone off.
Israel may kill kids, but they actually try not to get it on video, and they spend millions on PR that portrays them as the victim rather than the aggressor (as opposed to being as visibly aggressive as possible like Palestine protesters). Maybe that has something to do with why they keep winning and you keep losing.
Maybe it’s unfair for me to paint all Palestine protesters with a broad brush. I remember one had a sign listing all her dozens of family in Gaza who had been killed. That’s moving - you need more of that, less attacking the people you want to support you.
Well to be fair, the social security administration denied the report.
In a post on X.
I agree but the goal should be not to win a debate, but use their debate platform to slip some woke mind virus into their drink. I always liked to ask very simple questions that they thought they knew the answer to already and make them defend their inevitably irrational answers. For example I used to ask what race is Mariah Carey, because it’s a question everyone seems to have a different strong opinion on that can’t withstand much questioning. The goal being to make them realize on their own that race is a social construct. Whether that ever worked with anyone I don’t know.
Up to you? I used to hang out on a WN part of reddit back when that was allowed and debate people but that’s not a thing anymore. The problem is you have utterly no idea if you’re getting through to anyone. I do feel like people had to back off their angry racial ideas and adopt a softer “racial zoo” argument that made it seem like all they wanted was to preserve racial diversity rather than eliminate any particular race. I mean at times I wonder if they were looking in the mirror going “is that really why I have this swastika tattoo?” but I have no idea.
I do think the far right cannot survive much scrutiny of its ideas because they are very irrational, but to be honest the left has done a terrible job pointing this out. I know many people even on the moderate right feel like there’s a grain of truth to racism that they’ll admit in private with other white people, but then once you confront racism and question common assumptions about race* all that falls apart. Many attack racism as a moral failing and that doesn’t work because it makes it sound like the truth is being suppressed for moral reasons.
*The most pernicious being the idea that a person can have a single race on a fundamental level that isn’t up for debate
A house with a yard in a city with good subway access
Reddit had its advantages but when they forced everyone to have r/all as a default sub I feel like the content really started going downhill and all the subs started becoming the same. Then when the API thing happened I realized it wasn’t going to get better, they were determined to become Facebook.
He’s been missing for two weeks but someone created a github for an academic homepage for him a few days ago and updated a branch on it 20 hours ago?’
Unless there’s something I’m missing and multiple XiaoFeng Wangs work for the Luddy School at IU?
I suppose it could also just be a fake account, the whole thing is just weird.
It’s not all him, several other people invested in both. According to some article Elon owns 79% of X, and only 54% of xAI (barely enough to control it). Since the valuation of X in the deal is about $20 billion more what others have estimated ($12.3 billion), it definitely seems like it’s a corrupt bailout 46% funded with other xAI investors’ money, basically netting Elon $8 billion overnight.
That being said, the other investors in xAI are easy marks like Marc Andressen (famous for funding Adam Neumann’s project that came after WeWork) and various Saudi Royals who possibly were convinced that this is ok.
Don’t destroy Tesla cars, destroy the brand. Destroying Teslas means there’s fewer Teslas and that makes them more valuable/reduces the flooding of the market caused by people selling their cars. The goal is to annihilate Elon’s purchasing power to stop him from using it to implementing fascist governments around the world.
There’s a million things you could do with that. The musk of kleptocracy? I dunno.
Or you could do a bunch of other Elon refences - Don’t buy from klepto-guy, gimme a Model FU, Elon owes a horse by now, etc.
Elon’s blaming DDOS. You know I heard that the people who bulit Twitter did a great job figuring out how to handle those. Gosh, I wonder what ever happened them?
All the people praising Luigi say “this does nothing” when someone suggests an alternative to just shooting CEOs. Well you know what did nothing? Shooting Brian Thompson did nothing. United Health Group just hired a new CEO to run his division, and the real oligarchs continued looting the country even harder than before.
So no, they don’t feel threatened. The top oligarchs like Elon barely even registered it. If you wanna know what they’re afraid of, look at where they spend money - buying politicians and opposing attempts to regulate them and break up their monopolies. Lucky for them there is no well funded lobby for consumers, people denied health care, or even the poor and middle class generally. Tell the next Luigi to work on that if you really wanna scare these people.
It’s very hard to avoid buying stuff on Amazon even if we hate them. This provides a bit of extra motivation.
Because the status quo throughout history is an extremely small number of people getting the most benefits by far and everyone else getting screwed, and everyone seeing this as normal. People are used to it, while having everyone on relatively equal footing is new and therefore scary.
Well that’s what I mean by doing more harm than good. People notice, and then say “I hate whatever those people stand for”.
Protests do more harm than good to a cause, especially annoying protests.
There’s plenty of evidence that he actually is very stupid, and that he may even have a learning disability. To be honest, once you accept the thought that he may be mildly retarded, you can’t unsee it. For example in the recent talk about rare earth minerals, it seems to me that Trump thinks rare earth is actually soil in the way he talks about it and it drives me nuts that the media doesn’t point this out:
“We’re looking to do a deal with Ukraine where they’re going to secure what we’re giving them with their rare earth and other things…They have great rare earth. And I want security of the rare earth, and they’re willing to do it."
But he makes up for it politically with great skill in appealing to people’s base emotions.
I mean that’s a pretty easy choice for me
