I’m hoping the details of the movie are divorced from any one game, and instead just uses the broad strokes of Zelda story conventions. I would much rather they stand on their own so they can utilize the respective mediums to their fullest.
I’m not against Twilight Princess being a big influence though…
If the studio can stay out of Wes Ball’s way, then I think it could actually have potential. But Avi Arad is involved and so I’m not confident they can do that.
Keep in mind Sony are the producers…

Macys owns the name in the US and uses it to mark their toy section. It is super sparse and not at all exciting.
They only did that AFTER releasing it as a walled garden that people had to jump through a bunch of hoops to join.
Well that’s the main issue isn’t it? It’s not that the idea is bad, it’s all the cut corners on safety and quality. Same reason I won’t be getting into one of Elons cars or rockets.
This is a really cool concept up until they start selling the results.
