Oh no, the people we sent blazing down there were getting caught!
I second this. If you have to ask an internet rando, then that means you’re not ready.
I’m gatekeeping not for the sake of being an elitist, but because if you mess this up, you may not see the end of this.
There are already resources online. Some are even official by the distro you want to install. Maybe you should refer to that instead of this post.
What about libreoffice? What are the things you can only achieve with MS Excel?
That life is truly a neverending struggle. Sure, you get to enjoy some of that struggle, and you can take a break every now and then. Nevertheless, the only time you’re truly free from it is when you’re dead.
No, I don’t plan to end it immaturely. Please don’t put me on suicide watch. I still have my people to take care of. 😅
No, but they’d be upset if they cannot play their usual media files. H265 is known to be absent by default on a lot of these distros.

Thanks, you too!
Quoting directly from the author:

I hate to break it to you, but it appears the author don’t even have the bandwidth to worry about your trust.
Someone in the industry here.
Sadly there’s no money or hype in developing broken pages, as cool and fun as it sounds. Especially with the high speed connection people have these days.
I guess the concept of webpages as documents had fallen out of favor especially that dynamic contents became more prevalent. This is even true for Lemmy.
