One thing I like about rutracker, is that the sources are apparently checked. Whereas sources from Soulseek for example, could be Youtube rips that are “upscaled” to flac.
A bit late… They had years to address the issues. Now TPB has a bad reputation. And, I doubt the reputable uploaders will come back.
I used to pirate everything. But, I have never used/installed any commercial software since I jumped onto the FOSS bandwagon since at least 2010. I love the freedom! I even support the developers when I can.
The main reason why I still prefer Reddit, is content. Even though I am subscribed to similar subs/communities/magazines/whatever on Reddit/Lemmy, my Reddit home screen is filled with interesting content compared to Lemmy. And, I never had to ban/hide anything/anyone on Reddit.
