I think you’re referring to the “file picker” window. i think qBittorrent is using Dolphin as the file picker and as everyone else commented already you can get the same behavior if you use the “Details” view. Go the settings on Dolphin and tick the Expandable option

Alternatively, you can add the Folder panel (F7) and have the same functionality while having a “Compact” or “Icons” for the files

I think for OP it would be better off with a Framework laptop. It makes more sense in the long run.
Linux on ARM is great for SBC servers but not so good on the graphics stack. As @Vittelius@feddit.org pointed out Snapdragon SOCs are still lackluster. I’m sure Framework will have ARM in their lineup in the future (there’s already a RISC-V mainboard) while support for these CPUs keep improving.
On the other hand, i recently bought a 6 years old lenovo, installed Fedora KDE and it all just works, more importantly for me power management is no longer an issue. It will never be on the level of the newest Apple silicon though.

My first was Ubuntu in the early 2000s, I think CDs were being distributed by the IT department in one of the faculties, then SUSE but Linux didn’t stick with me at the time. In 2018 I installed Manjaro which helped me make the switch to arch. I’ve also got Debian on a server and fedora on a laptop

Maybe there isn’t a market for it. Probably most crackers don’t bother with Linux versions and the Linux community always tends to support FOSS software.

I’ve got Transmission on my NAS and use Transmission-remote(Linux and android) for the client. Simple, easy to setup and it just works.

Bazzite comes packaged with the essentials so that anyone can use it without using terminal. Flatpak is enabled by default and this is the best approach. You can check it out below.

If you’re not comfortable yet using any other terminal package manager other than apt, you can still use bazzite and learn with time. You can install most apps through Discover (KDE) or Gnome software

My comment is just to remind that OP is already running an immutable distro on the Steam deck. Valve OS is an arch based immutable distro.
Bazzite was assembled, by some very cool people, to bring the same features of the Steam deck using the already tested atomic editions of fedora to a multitude of “PCs”. Saves time on managing the “Linux” system and focuses on the gaming features, apps and drivers.

I’ve been following her for the past year, it’s a pity she doesn’t have a one time contribution scheme set up. I also can’t support everyone but judging from the donations on KDE people do tend to give small amounts and it really helps. Gonna try to contact her and see if she can accept something like that

The artists I like don’t come around where I live, so I can’t support through live music. I’ve done it in the past when I lived in a large city. In the end we’re all trying our best. And we all have our use cases, there’s no right way to listen to music.

The best way might not be a perfect one. Still a little bit better than most other options.

I live in Europe. Had Spotify for about 5 years, stopped paying and using 6 months ago. I usually buy from Bandcamp, mostly non mainstream music, and download in FLAC and store it on my server. I can stream through the app on my phone when I’m out.
For the ones I can’t find on Bandcamp, or albums from major labels, I tend to find it on Qobuz in MP3. Pricing trends to be similar everywhere.
My pirating nowadays is mainly for old music or establish artists.
