In all my travels, in all the cafés, libraries, hotels and co-working spaces I’ve used around the world, never have I seen anyone pull out their own router.
I’m not dismissing it’s potential or usefulness, I just think that for me to avoid adverts and to connect to a few streaming services from weird locations it might be a bit overkill.

Probably not a popular choice, but my VPN comes with an ad blocker which works great.
I’m still using Nord VPN as I got an insane deal a few years ago. Now it has something called Threat Protection which blocks all ads whether on my desktop browsers or on mobile.
✨Edit to add: Yeah down vote me. Nord was a blackfriday deal from 3 years ago. Much has changed since then.

There will never be roads to connect towns, there’s too many mountains. Best take a boat or a helicopter 🚁. Definitely have Faroe on my bucket list too.
I actually enjoyed Sendai, but I do have friends there. There’s not much to do, but the food is insanely good. Sendai beef is grade A5 to A7 for example, which just beats Kobe hands down. Also giant buddah statue ftw.
I’m in South Greenland atm and it’s just amazing! No tourists, no tours, no souvenirs just incredible nature and huge mountains. I’ve not been to Iceland yet, but the nature here is just so amped up it’s insane. Bonus icebergs floating around all year!
I’ve been traveling full time for 5 years. I always when possible check-in online. I always screenshot my boarding pass so it’s in my gallery and available without internet. (same goes for any any other documents that may be required) No need for Google wallet, seems like an unnecessary step to me.

Left reddit when Sync stopped working. Been here ever since and I actually prefer it here anyway.
Reddit was and probably still is an echo chamber of bots and catch phrases. There were a few useful gems of information when you googled something, but now most of that content has become unreliable due to some people (like me) who salted and later deleted their comments before leaving.
Also Spez was a dick 🤷♂️
