They claim to be a public benefit corporation, so while they obviously need to get income to run servers and fund development, their objective as a company isn’t just to maximize shareholder value.
I don’t know where/how to find their actual foundation documents to see what those actually say for their balance of profit vs mission.
I am also wondering who is going to actually handle ranking the tens of thousands of existing cards(gatherer says 28712 legal in commander at this moment), plus hundreds more from each set as they release. Might need to be crowdsourced to be done in a reasonable time. Every deckbuilding website is also going to want to implement that info in their database.
Would be some nice karma if wotc taking over caused prices of some of the most expensive stuff to drop due to the uncertainty of the future of the format.
I get the idea, but I don’t see how that works effectively in practice. There are a lot of cards that are not good on their own, and only good in the context of a combo. Does having one of those cards in your deck make it better? No, it probably makes it worse. You need the entire combo for one of those cards to matter.
It works for those 1 off value piece cards like Dockside, Tomb, Sol Ring, etc. But multi card combos is where I think it will fail(or at least over score a deck that doesn’t include a full combo).
In every place I have been to that use this, they will still take order by person. Maybe I’m just lucky, though.
Mostly Birds(UW) (promo was Kastral) with a splash of green for the first two matches, then dropped the green and put in some of the white rabbit stuff. 3-0
For anyone who was confused about the May as he was. The reason it is May is because you can only take the action once per turn, you don’t need to take it on the first spell you cast.
You can bolt something, decline the action, then cast a 5 color spell after and take the action on that.
Scrolling through what is there currently, only 1 tarot related meme. Overall good lulz
But he just gave them all the power. He needs them. They can demand higher wages, better conditions, etc.
Hard to say without knowing your full situation.
Does your power utility do net metering? How much do you expect to generate compared to your usage on a annual basis?
I got a 6.5kW system a few years ago for a final price of around 12k after rebates. It covers nearby all of my usage and my provider does net metering, so really good days cover less good days, summer covers winter, etc.
Link seems to be trying to find a user rather than a community. At least in the Connect app.
First time I think I’ve seen an article that uses “X” exclusively for Twitter.
Does that still get registered that way if identical links/posts are cross posted instead of duplicated?
I regularly see duplicate rather than cross post, which is a shame.
I think the switch to sing large sets instead of blocks plays a lot into the failure to really dive into the stories of the planes. Can’t do something like the Tarkir block with a single set and not a series of three that are narratively connected and sequential.
Link? I don’t use Twitter.

Sodium-ion are being applied in real world use cases.
Support ranked choice voting first. Once we have that, a huge portion of the power the two parties have will fall away
Am I crazy about Stalking Yeti? Wouldn’t the opposing creature only die after the entire ability has resolved and state based actions are checked when a player gains priority again?
Wouldn’t the order only (really) matter if the Yeti had something like infect, where it dealing damage could reduce the damage the opposing creature deals?
