Physical shutoff via relays is required by the standard. We’ve just been through a scandal where a manufacturer skimped out on putting them in and had to recall the devices.
Yes, because the frequency of the grid is also a trigger for shutting off the inverter. Inverters generate a frequency which indicates a “non healthy grid” that trigger the shutoff of connected inverters.
You’re right. It was the eighth movie. My bad. I didn’t even remember Nemesis. It kinda is the Star Trek V but for TNG.
Star Trek 10 - First Contact is also pretty solid.
And then he morbed all over them!
It does that for some decades already. The trick for dual booting was always to install Linux second. :/
Well, as a consolation there is Rottenegg in Germany. Not nearly as catchy though.
Esteemed personages.
New money laundering scheme?
They don’t want you to see the “if benchmark_xyz { do less work }” blocks of code.
The way I perceive PRQL is somewhat like SQLAlchemy-Core (the SQL expression layer, not the ORM). Almost a 1:1 mapping to SQL but softening the rough edges in SQL when constructing more complex queries dynamically, in particular: no function calls, no real variables, only string concatenation. While SQLAlchemy-Core lets you even extract sub-queries into variables, I don’t know about how powerful PRQL is in this regard.
From what I see from the docs I’m rather hopeful though.
Sir, your washing machine will arrive on Wednesday. Be sure to be at home at around 3.
Can the ozone be countered by a reverse polarity static charge? Not sure how the laser printer do it, but recent printers barely emit ozone. I think it should be possible.

That would invalidate their position as “we’re just a platform and not liable for the things our users post”. They’d have to take responsibility then and I’m not sure they’ve got the resources for that.
That’s true. I posted more here in the last 2 months than on the other site in years.
While you may dismiss Zuckerberg as delusional, he’s shown a talent for using others’ ideas and making them profitable under Facebook. The success of Instagram and WhatsApp is proof. Google+ is nowhere to be seen anymore.
As for Mastodon, underestimating Meta’s potential threat, particularly federating with Mastodon (this can be seen as “easy hosting” of something like Mastodon), might be a mistake. Even without originality, they have the resources to cause significant disruption.
While I might only be able to influence a few people, the act of defederating Meta will have the power to influence a lot of people to influence a lot of other people.
Why would anyone want to recommend an App which can’t even interact with the most promising communication network in recent years?
Federating with Meta will send the opposite message: “Yes, we endorse them. You can choose either us or them. Have fun.”
I do not endorse them and I don’t want anybody I know of to think I do.
I’m surprised that’s still around. Is the average age still 14 on these networks?
