You dropped your friggin’ in another thread and I just stepped on it. Pain like Lego.
My gender is my concern, but you may use any pronoun to refer to me

Two years, then the drive exploded a couple weeks ago and I rebuilt it just now. Doesn’t work out of the box, X11, does, so I’ve never looked into it.
Every time I build a new box or do an upgrade, I try selecting Plasma on Wayland from the login screen. Every time it doesn’t work, I select X11, and never think of it again for another six months to two years.
It is obviously not the same as manually making all these connections and using different apps for each of them and backing them up with git.
I mean, that’s the whole unix philosophy. Rather than one big monolithic app, we use dozens of tiny ones that can all be scripted and work together. I think I’d just use an org-mode file to create the sort of centralized UI you’re describing.
It also depends on the viewing device and the response curves of each subpixel element, colourspace transformations both incidental and intentional (eg colour temperature), other nearby colours, viewing environment conditions, mood and physical temperature of the viewer, psychological priming, and gott knows how many other circumstances.
The surface does not become a perfect cylindrical section in nature, nor is the stem itself cylindrical.
And atrocity against vulnerable individuals.
approximately
Colour theory is extremely complicated and you can’t really tell from an RGB value in isolation that it represent a colour “exactly halfway” between green and yellow. Colour is perceptual, not a physical phenomenon, and this has significant meaningful consequences. But I’m glad you found a narrative that saved your marriage.
This is not WW2. This time the fascists are your little brother, your parents, your children… Your fucking government. You are going to need to find a better way than killing people, or you’re not going to reach anything that can be meaningfully considered victory.
I hope you do. Or the rest of us will have to do to you what your grandpa did.
There’s no rational reason typefaces shouldn’t enjoy protection.
Young again
Because it’s not an issue. This is the system functioning as intended. Changing this behaviour would cause dramatic performance degradation for the 99.999% of the time when the device you are writing to isn’t removable media that you want to eject right away.
Even if this were true, it does not address the moral argument that is at the root of this discussion. It’s a way that you distract yourself from the moral component of your choices. It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, it doesn’t even matter if you believe it or not. It just has to distract you long enough that you get past the point where you might accidentally engage your empathy, and have a feeling you don’t want to have.
Where are you getting your information?
The majority of all the plants that humans grow are fed to livestock. That’s just the fact of the matter. It’s not conserving anything, rather it’s incredibly wasteful. Human food crops could have been grown instead, on a fraction of the land.
And again, you don’t really give a shit. It wouldn’t change your behaviour to discover you are mistaken, it’s a disingenuous argument. It’s sophistry.
Gaslighting
That’s willful self-delusion.
This is not true. The vast majority of farmed animals come from high intensity operations and the vast bulk of the food they eat is grown agriculturally. This is one of those happy little lies people repeat to themselves without verifying because it provides them with a shred of moral license. They don’t really care whether it’s true or not and finding out it is false won’t change their behaviour, it’s a totally facile argument.
Pull requests have nothing to do with any of this.
Disagree. That’s exactly the thing you want to receive from these corporations.
So under GPL, they can use my algorithm, but not my code. So they run it through ChatGTP. What has been gained??
Guns don’t defend against guns.
Edit: People who have to deal with the public who might be armed don’t do it with a gun in their hand, they do it behind bulletproof glass. The odds that a given gun is going to shoot a bad guy moments before the bad guy shoots a good guy are a fraction of the odds that that same gun will be used to accidentally kill a child.
I use a teletype. My scrollback is INFINITE.
