It was always losing tons of money. Nothing changed there.
Didn’t he say a long time ago it’s going to become “X”
Agreed, and I never said it is a good reddit replacement. I think discord is lightyears ahead of previous platforms that it replaced like Ventrillo, Teamspeak, AIM, Whatsapp, ICQ, etc etc etc
Discord is the best chat app ever created. (but I agree, it’s not a good reddit/forum replacement)
Diablo 4 apparently is doing well and rather well reviewed too. Seems like their best title since StarCraft 2
Inequality is getting worse so it makes sense. I am pro capitalist myself but it needs checks and balances to make it work (ie monopoly busting, higher taxes, stronger social safety nets). Some of the checks have eroded, but they can be brought back, and I am waiting for evidence that a better system can sustainably exist.
Side rant, but do you ever call in to support with a serious problem and they just by default treat you like a granny who doesnt know how to type in a wifi password? That whole process is so frustrating, and they never have the expertise to handle more sophisticated problems.
No, this is outrage bait.
Batteries are cheap to replace.
Ridiculous that the only legitimate complaint against this is that it is an “eye sore.” A small sacrifice for a massive gain. Additionally, I think they look really cool.
Yea, kind of worried this place is becoming an insecure knee-jerk reaction place just like reddit became post 2016. Like it’s totally possible that boomers could better detect fake news. What’s the big deal if so? No reason to take it so personally and start crying about Business Insider having an agenda. It’s just ridiculous.
Well isnt that the critical skill here?
Man, I read that and all the crazy notes in all different directions. Quite a trip. I personally think it could have been a bit shorter and deliver the same effect, but it really is pretty neat and original. I hope they make it into a film or show someday - it deserves the treatment and the author deserves the $$.
You put it back in the ocean. Laughable to think you would alter the ocean’s salt content this way. All of the freshwater produced would eventually end up back in the ocean anyway.
