Mate chill, I already implied I misunderstood and apologised. I’m human and allowed to make mistakes.
Well, I never said it did out of the box. I was giving people the example of how I did it, in case they wanted an easy option for PCs. No offence meant, my friend.
I was thinking a computer! Multiple people can connect to your tailscale and jellyfin at once. That’s not so much an issue. Other than that, there’s not so much more than installing the app and signing in with email or Google then sending them a link. I use a shared email and pass to speed up the process.
I’ve walked them through using tailscale. You install it once and forget it.
Yeah, they both do. That’s a lot more manual though.
My mom streams mine across an ocean.

It’s probably not very simple. Bauh is a bit clunky compared to this app. If I was going to work on extending functionality, I’d probably look into forking Synaptic first.
Don’t feed the trolls, especially the ones that are bad at it. But yeah, this app doesn’t let you select and uninstall multiple things at the same time nor does it have all the functionality of Synaptic (which is amaze, notably for the search tool). I’d settle on a CLI tool for this too, I just want a one stop shop because I get so triggered having to juggle different managers. It’s just fucking annoying really. Like, I found the cli tool Topgrade and it is just the best thing ever for keeping things up to date from all package managers, I want that with extended functionality as even this tool doesn’t manage every manager that Topgrade does. Something modular, otherwise I waste time fucking around with everything. That’s really the core issue, it’s a pain in the ass not being centralised. If I had more time and unlimited finances I’d fork this and try to extend it myself.
Maybe consider why you are being downvoted. Have a good one.
Mate, you are not being clear at all. I’ve clarified this multiple times. If you’re unwilling to acknowledge that out-of-the-box package managers do not generally include non-native package formats, this conversation can’t progress.
I did not make this. It does include Snaps and Flatpaks and Debs and a lot of other formats. Your general package managers do not.
It does not include appimages or various other formats that are included in this app. This is an all in one solution.
I want to see it all in a single database and manage it all in one place in a GUI with multi select.
God, this is a great start to whaat I want. I want this to have a baby with Synaptic. This is great for cleaning up though.
Lutris, my beloved.
You misspelled pathetic.
Don’t forget the cycle of buying up all patents and shelving them if they are a threat to their goals. What a future we’ve wasted.
Amg I couldn’t figure out how to collapse. I’m so happy rn. I’ve been containerising everything. It’s so soothing.
