10 days agoWell, Foobar is ancient software and barely has any developers. It’s intended to be a WinAmp clone. I’m sure there’s an equivalent piece of Linux software that does something similar.

I use Foobar and Plexamp to listen to my FLAC collection. I have a lot of magazine CD inserts not readily available on the streaming platforms. Just feels really good knowing companies like Spotify aren’t making a dime off me.
Not sure which chipmakers survive a 245% tariff…

It’s better to have a few self driving cars that are safer than everyone owning their own car. It’s like getting gas guzzling vehicles off the road: better to replace a humvee with a sedan than a sedan with an electric.
When I said manual controls, I just meant knobs and buttons instead of a touchscreen. Definitely not looking for a stick shift lol.

I’ve kind of debated buying one just because it possibly can be a great deal on an electric car. Slap a few “I hate Elon” magnets on there and hopefully no one torches it lol.
A lot of what is in the list is irrelevant because the companies do not exist anymore. SolarCity is just Tesla now (I have a solarcity system that is now managed…badly…by Tesla)
lol, have you seen public companies nowadays? Amazon took 9 years to turn a profit.
Something like half a billion people use ChatGPT and competitors every week. It’s really hard to deny that these companies are successful. Doesn’t matter what the quality is, it’s clearly good enough that people continue to use it.
People using it to control their computer is dumb as fuck. I dunno why AI companies are pushing the idea when they already have a killer product.

Rich people should be fined a higher percentage because they can afford it. A $10 million dollar fine for someone with $100 million doesn’t hit as hard as someone with a million getting fined $100k.
