Did you get that thing I sent ya?

X86 configs were painful and fun. Knowing a wrong setting might destroy your monitor was the right amount of adrenaline.
Sorry for the shitty experience and for my comment.
Wheat and dairy and egg allergy. Fuck them all.
Yes because a lot of the worldwide inflation post COVID was straight up theft. Companies all raised prices for often no reason at all. Weve reached full on late stage capitalism. The cost of production is fully detached from the sales price.
Advertising and the stock market. Two evil controlling systems that systematically abuse humans daily. Fired, stock market. Some random dude got some absurd promotion to tank the company and ruin people’s lives - stock market. Forced to watch advertising every fucking where you go… Ohh sorry someone needs to do that to make money so fuck you.
Lawn chair is decent.
The incel chuds out there redistributing and shaming the target is something I wish would be dealt with in the mainstream. It’s disgusting that we’re regressing as a society allowing for bullying to continue.
Overseas devs have had the random screenshot to prove productivity happening for a while now. There’s a hundred ways around it. Most common is a second computer next to you dev machine.
This is good. There are probably some edge cases for this. I work in IT for some companies using industrial automation. Being able to roll back and watch what people do when errors or problems occur is a good feature. Similarly on high value servers I would like this as well.
Being able to turn it on is better than having to apply policies to disable. I don’t see this as a big problem anymore.
What if we could calculate the bending of light around black holes and just hammer away data at space and pick it up again at a set interval… No storage needed!
Am looking for research funding.
It’s should be a 3 drive raid 5 parity but you can only buy 1. Then when the world ends you must find the people that have the other two.
Not a doctor or specialist.
Rarely do people have the same hair all over their head. Different parts of the scalp produce different strands of hair. Sometimes people with straight hair might have a patch or a few strands of curly hair. Or gray hair may grow in patches, bands or randomly. Having a weird strand of hair could be related to diet, damage to the area or a lot of factors. I would be happy for the anomaly and move on.
God I wish the whole administration would stroke out already.
Just rewrote my corporate IT policies. I feed it all the old policies and a huge essay of criteria, styles, business goals etc. then created a bunch of new policies. I have chatgpt interview me about the new policies, I don’t trust what it outputs until I review it in detail and I ask it things like
What do other similar themed policies have that I don’t? How is the policy going to be hard to enforce? What are my obligations annually, quarterly and so on?
What forms should I have in place to capture information ( i.e. consultant onboarding).
I can do it all myself but it would be slower and more likely to have consistency and grammatical errors.
Ubuntu. Started in the Slackware days, tried a lot of distro’s. Got used to debian commands/layouts etc. still happy to move to Centos for security focused installs. I find Ubuntu has a ton of support and general updates that fix anything I can find broken.
I make my smart TVs dumb. No internet connectivity.
Never. I gave up a long time ago when the bots won the ticket purchase wars and ticket prices became absurd. I don’t need that level of stress.
Treedude in superhot
And… Umm
Mario party
Clearly you are not the target audience. For IT pros and tech enthusiasts regularly rebuilding machines and running numerous diagnostic tools from boot, the ability to quickly bootstrap a machines is a massive timesaver. dd is slower and may mean carrying around a lot of usb sticks, something these people all graduated from.
