It was discontinued in 2011. Anything that is out there today is outdated at best, and malicious at worst.

I’m all for equality. Equality doesn’t punch down, though. The rules don’t get to punish one group first and then say, “Well, we’ll get to that other group, too. Don’t worry about them.” If there isn’t equality throughout, then it’s just favoritism. If Reddit wants to have rules, then Reddit should abide by them at all times. If you think it requires too much effort to police that site, post something that falls hard left, and something that falls hard right, and see which one gets removed first. The site, as its core, is unequal.

Which is hilarious, because most of the shit out there today seems to be written by them.

Yeah. Everyone forgot the second half of “Trust, but Verify”. If I ask an LLM a question, I’m only doing it because I’m not 100% sure how to look up the info. Once it gives me the answer, I’m checking that answer with sources because it has given me a better ability to find what I was looking for. Trusting an LLM blindly is just as bad as going on Facebook for healthcare advice.

Then go find one where you don’t interact with anyone. Interaction is discourse and discourse is the “social” in social media… Not everyone is going to share the same viewpoint, and you can either avoid them and build your wall, or you can have a discussion.

And you shouldn’t feel “nervous”. If someone is unable to defend themselves against ideals they don’t subscribe to, they should work on their defense instead of running to an echo chamber. Debate us s crucial part of human nature.
