I couldn’t get my head round this at all. Everyone used Skype where I worked, and it seemed hugely popular. By the time COVID happened, I was in another job, and all of a sudden everyone was going mad about this Zoom program. I’d never heard of it, but it just came out of nowhere and everyone on the planet was using it. How on earth Skype fumbled it so hard is absolutely staggering.

MSN Messenger was brilliant. At the time I used it, everyone I knew used it. It was the go-to for communication.

When I started at my workplace a few years back, I had to login to lotus notes to obtain some sort of ID code. I’d never heard or seen the software before, but after opening it, I let out an audible “what the fuck is this shit”. Luckily they got rid of it completely a couple of years ago.

We have too. I absolutely hate it.

Our work uses outlook for web and it’s utter garbage. So much stuff you just can’t do.

Also, when you use the built in windows search to search for an installed program, except it doesn’t find it, but gives you web results instead. Microsoft needs to take a seriously massive step back and realise how much they’ve fucked up this basic stuff.

I’d rather they remove all the new shit like “Settings” and just keep all the stuff they’ve had for god knows how many years. Control Panel ftw.

We were all kids once. You know as well as anyone that kids bullshit their parents all the time. Just because your kid might tell you where they’re going, doesn’t mean that’s where they’re going.

Well they are doing it. So there’s that. Looks like a lot of excitement online and in the videos comments about it too.

Funny thing is, Digg is coming back and it would be hilarious if redditors jumped ship back to it.

Part of me just thinks this place needs a natural barrier to entry. Look what happened to the internet when the iPhone released.
