Yea that makes sense. You could wet the brick every so often to get some evaporative cooling going and keep that heat from penetrating inside

Not sure how your buildings are built over there so this may not apply. But an exhaust fan for the space between the ceiling and roof does wonders to cool a house after a hot day. Those attic spaces get crazy hot and hold the heat well after the sun sets and it keeps your house hotter longer. This won’t necessarily help with mid day heat, but help cool the living space as the sun goes down.

Yea definitely. I started tinkering with my first server in 2020 and used an ewaste dell tower with an i7 3770 (8 years old at that point) and an old rx460 I had laying around. As others mentioned power consumption was way worse than modern hardware. But I had at one point a half dozen people streaming jellyfin 1080 content from it with no hiccups at all. That said I was running on linux, not sure how it would do if you run windows.
Right now I’m using a low power pc to run my server, again an old ewaste dell micro pc with a 5th or 6th gen i5 and no dedicated gpu. Still no problem streaming to my partners and I’s phone/tablet simultaneously. Again, running linux.
Kittie was a favorite of mine back in high school. Haven’t listened in a while but I know what I’m listening to today
Morphine - Good
Nujabes - Modal Soul
Leftover Crack - Fuck World Trade
The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute
Big KRIT - 4eva is a Mighty Long Time
No particular order but that’s probably my current top 5
Clementine or strawberry for me
From what I’m understanding your looking to do something like combine an arr stack, jellyfin/plex, torrent client, and vpn into a single package utilizing cloud storage? That sounds pretty cool since media collections can get big. I’m not quite getting the monetization side of things, is it just for access to the cloud storage? And then how does advertising and content creators come into play? That sounds like your also trying to compete with YouTube. I know your trying to keep things vague so don’t feel like you gotta go into details but I’m I understanding your post mostly?
I am potentially interested but I won’t have stable internet access besides cellular for about a year. I know your shooting for end of July so if need people asap then I’m no good.
Good luck regardless I got into selfhosting about 4 years back, and getting all the different programs set up correctly was quite the learning curve. Doing it all in one style might simplify the process enough to onboard less tech savvy people.
Vivi from Final Fantasy 9 is my all time favorite. Little dude just wants to belong and finds his rag tag group who accept him for who he is. Plus bro drips swag
Anti-evaperation field, or just let rain do it’s thing
I would put one portal on a pneumatically actuated plate above a dais that holds an object, and the other portal on a plate placed at a 45 degree angle. I would then see if an object on the dais would fly or fall out of the 45 degree portal, if the other portal actuated and closed the distance between its starting point and the dais.
I have a very similar experience as you, using the internet less as recreation and more as a tool definitely helped my mental health
The internet just isn’t a good space to spend a lot of time. It’s mostly corporate controlled and they’ve found anger drives interaction online so most things you read are designed to be upsetting. I’ve drastically cut down on my internet usage over the last few years and while I do spend more time doing things I enjoy, due to not being online, I’ve found that going back on reddit or something similar can send me right back into a negative headspace for the rest of the day like when I was online more. I just think that most parts of the internet are miserable places to be.
I don’t remember it always being this way either. Back when small formus were the norm I found the internet to be much less hostile overall. Not that there weren’t jerks and chuds online back then, but there wasn’t the profit incentive to drive engagement over all else
