What if I don’t have a cat?
If I said “we need public transit as a city” am I assuming that everyone lives in my city or am I simply talking about my own city?
That’s exactly what I would assume, because you’re talking like your city is the default and everyone knows which one you’re talking about.
I still don’t think this “Lavender AI” actually exists, I think that was another scapegoat to blame their deliberate targeting of civilians on.
Lucky for you, they’re disabled by default!
Right there with you, it’s going to be a long four years…
I want to sideload things on my iPhone. Hopefully we’ll both be able to do what we want.
That, I disagree with. Doing something is better than doing nothing, banning X links still hurts.
Mods found out how much power they actually had when they capitulated as soon as reddit threatened to replace them
reddit forced all subreddits openwhen the API debacle occurred.

I tried both Thunder and Mlem, but I guess I’m too used to Apollo, and I prefer wefwef Voyager because of that.
I’ve seen way worse that doesn’t even result in a comment removal, let alone a whole subreddit getting banned.
That didn’t take long
Lemmy is federated, they can’t get every instance.
I was happy my laptop didn’t meet the requirements, specifically because I’m worried it would update without my permission.
I mean, if it makes them feel better, more power to them. I was just curious about their reason.
I don’t think anybody decided that an upvote count of 1 means anything.
Your own upvote on your own comment doesn’t mean anything, because every single comment starts with one upvote by default, not zero. All you’re doing is moving your comments below everyone else’s.
I don’t think most people here are self hosting Lemmy instances
4 so far, one bot and one flying squid included. Can’t remember why I blocked the other two.
As someone who was used to Apollo and is still using it, I’ve seen no reason to switch from Voyager.
You’re never gonna believe this, but I don’t have a dog either.
