Used Saily while on vacation. Loved it. Switched on thee same day (where I was going there is a 3 day wait on SIM activation I believe), and the connection was pretty good.

ImoI, that just sucks. I don’t want to turn into a walking advertisement for a company.

Ahhh. I see. I thought it was off by default (reading through these comments, I now realize that it is probably on by default). I can’t remember the default state either, nor if I manually turned it off.

Do the processes still run even if you toggle the setting off?

Yeah, I’m just glad that it’s opt-in. I don’t find the option/ notion very palatable.

It mostly doesnt matter what instance you choose as you can talk with almost any other instance.
since there isn’t an advantage of one instance over another and you can talk to everyone, why/ what are the benefits of joining a specific instance?
sidebar: would it be possible to change instances after account creation?

I’d agree that blender is very good. I find that it would be more suited to static stuff and renderings, as well as animations. FreeCAD is more like the commercial CAD software you’d find (Fusion 360, Solidworks).
On the topic of blender, It has some amazing features, and I am amazed at what people do with it (I also find it a bit tricky, but I probably just need to put a few more hours into learning)

If you mean CAD, I found that FreeCAD works nicely as a parametric 3D modeler with some nice macros and addons, with the perk of also running on Linux
E: added info
I second this sentiment. I would love to know more!
