That just straight up would not work for me, it doesn’t fit my use case.
I need to be able to post a pic of my ingame setup and ask for advice from people who have played longer than I have, or occasionally give advice to a new player. A read-only version just doesn’t meet my needs.

When I have to use reddit (searching for info about obscure idle games from 10 years ago), old.reddit makes it tolerable.
Once you build up a decent block list, this place gets much better. I just wish there was more activity. It sucks to see a thing I’d like to discuss, and seeing 0 comments on the post.
I honestly hate AI so much. I had a question about a game I was playing (basically, “Where do I find [item] in [game]?”), and the AI led me on a wild goose chase for 2 entire days before I was finally able to talk to a human about it and get the right answer. The AI had me searching in the entirely wrong layer of the game.

I eat at least 2 blood oranges a day, sometimes 5 or even 6. They taste so damn good, and they’re relatively cheap ($1.49/lb). It got my location wrong. It got my GPU wrong. It said I never left the tab, even though I left it to start this comment. It said I moved my cursor 111 times in 74 seconds, which is absolutely false.
That site is just pointless. Pretty much the only things it got right were my time zone and my browser.
GenX here, I have a streaming service (Paramount+) for exactly one reason: It comes for free with my Walmart+ account, which I use frequently. Every 6 months I switch between that and Peacock, since both are free and I can change my choice twice a year. So I watch what I want on Paramount+ for 6 months, then switch to Peacock for 6 months, rinse and repeat.
As far as a lifetime subscription to Nebula, I’ve watched way too many sites fail/die to consider a lifetime subscription to anything on the internet. They could shut the site down tomorrow, and now I’m out $500 ($300 if I happen to get a discount from a creator code).

I’m 51, and my oldest grandchild is 17. I could theoretically be a great grandparent right now, if my granddaughter repeated her father’s (and my) pattern. My son was born when I was 19, and he got his High School girlfriend pregnant when they were both Freshmen.

I’m not “tech illiterate” by any means, but this whole federated thing took me a bit to get my head wrapped around.
I get it now, it’s basically just a bunch of content aggregators in a trench coat, and it doesn’t matter which one you sign up for.
It’s like signing up for Facebook, and getting access to Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and every other social media site in one place.
