  • Actually I would say that religions are just a symptom of a human flaw.

The same gets exploited by politics and other things too.

Religion is just so bad because it is based on an intangible mind construct as as lies go, this is one of the biggest ever to keep spreading and going fueled by nothing more than the sunk cost fallacy in time and energy invested of current and past believers. They need to validate themselves by pushing ot onto the next generations because otherwise it would mean their their time invested into it was pointless.

  • Free will is real and it’s an illusion at the same time.

Our actions are reactions. And we are very limited in our execution of will by the most basic physical boundaries. For example I cannot fly, no matter how much I will it to be so.

We have free will to control the actions of the biological apparatus which is our body, to an extent, though even those are limited by circumstances and consequences.

Overall we have limited free will, or free will “lite”

  • The modern world needs to change. Humans are getting more and more depressed, broken, struggling and mentally ill just to get more and more exposed to ads, social pressure and the lot.

Humans are creative family based animals, not machines that need to be forced into doing the same stuff over and over again all their lives.

A 4 day work week is a good start, but what’s really needed is a rather more drastic change to enable humanity as a whole and individually.

Long term view: Basic universal income with robots and AI doing most of the work is in theory doable and such similar ideas.

It’s just that the existing system is not only rusted tight, but also being held alive by those who benefit from the rusted thing and those who fear change.
