You guys, your account is just a collection of records in a database. Literally any service that you make digital purchases from – Amazon, Steam, Sony, Microsoft, GOG, etc., can remove purchased content from your account. They just delete a single line from a database.
Y’all need to stop being surprised when digital companies are able to do digital shit to your digital stuff.

I’ve seen it happen in a lot of smaller communities since July. /r/Subnautica, for example, used to be primarily memes and gameplay questions and was fairly low-traffic. Since July it’s been a steady stream of polls and “what’s your favorite” questions - low-effort posts that drive easy engagement.

But YouTube doesn’t have a monopoly, you’re more than welcome to start up a competing video hosting site and steal their customers. YouTube is providing a platform, for people to upload and store their videos for free – they have every right to decide who they do and don’t want on their platform.
That’s the best part, they’re all grifters trying to get attention, they won’t pay a fucking cent.
