EU needs to run own instance of Mastodon officially and have ALL European politicians on it and go off X entirely. Posting anything on X is supporting nazi Elon.
Made of 100% real wool. Wash at 30°C, don’t put into tumble dryer.

I mean, just because Elon won’t be CEO anymore doesn’t mean he won’t be getting funds from it to fund his bullshit. He’s still an owner of it…
I know that BlueSky has investors and soon enough every company has turned into shit when investors are involved.
Remember when Twitter tried that? And look at it now. A festering pool of feces and maggots…
This is Ai poisoning. Blocking it you just make it not learn. Feeding it bullshit poisons its knowledge making it hallucinate.
I also wonder how Ai crawlers know what wasn’t already generated by Ai, potentially “inbreeding” knowledge as I call it with Ai hallucinations of the past.
When whole Ai craze began, everything online was human made basically. Not anymore now. It’ll just get worse if you ask me.
People need to get off this stupid platform. It was bad before without Elon, now it’s just the worse.
I have ports forwarded locally to deal with my router, that doesn’t apply to my ISP down the line. And that’s the problem. I don’t know the specifics, but that’s how it was explained to me.
It’s not. Bittorrent uses newer methods to connect that work with current network configurations where eMule devs stubbornly refused because it would create some overhead like we’re still stuck on 56k or ISDN era and never improved it.
Apparently there is a way using VPN with P2P, but I’m not gonna pay for it just to run eMule…
I know, but I still miss my donkey. It was slow but stubborn and always delivered eventually. Also it was mesmerizing watching all the clients and traffic happening and watching KAD nodes visualization. Good times. It’s still there but because it now always connects with LowID it doesn’t work as good as it did with HighID…
Problem is how most networks are configured today that prevent HighID on eMule, severely crippling it. It used to be annoying to have LowID in the past and reconnecting usually fixes it, now it’s a given and you can’t get out of it. It’s so hard to get uploads going and it makes me sad :(
I miss eMule though. I always loved to share some rare exotic stuff and see someone decided they want that and I provided it. It’s not just about bandwidth, though I had pretty big numbers there. Torrents just don’t hit the same.
That’s like calling stealing from shops essential for my existence and it would be “over” for me if they stop me. The shit these clowns say is just astounding. It’s like they have no morals and no self awareness and awareness for people around them.
It wasn’t dumb from corporate perspective, which is why they all gobbled it up like junky hoovering on piles of white dust.
You know how expensive it is to mold unique dedicated physical buttons for every function and then wire them all over the place? Or just slap single touch display and cram all the shit into that single display. You code it once and use it on all models. Corporates were already counting the money saved there. Until it backfired because everyone hated it, reviewers criticized it and now it’s finally also criticized by safety agencies.
Not really, just don’t trap yourself into their ecosystems. Use 3rd party services that work on all of them so you’re not trapped on either. I used iPhone for several years and because of using 3rd party cloud and mail services as well as password managers and browsers, I was able to switch back to Android without any hassle. And since I don’t use or rely on anything from Google either, I can go back to Apple this moment if I want and only hassle would be just setting up all the services. Which would take me like an hour for all of it.
Same goes for desktops. I run Windows on one of my systems because of gaming and the rest run Linux because fuck you Microsoft with your asshole arbitrary hardware requirements.I still have bookmarks and files synced between them thanks to 3rd party services that work on all of them.
Sure I don’t have a magic single button to log me into everything, but then again I’m also not a slave of anyone because I don’t depend on a single entity providing me all the services. Password managers save me that hassle so it’s basically the same, but ultimately better.
Would they believe if I say I don’t have Fecesbook and Xitter accounts (because I actually don’t)? I’d just lie for the rest…
Every time something goes public it turns into shit. Every single time.
Firefox Reddit sub is pretty full of outrage posts. Rightfully so.
I’ve been a long time supporter of Firefox because fuck Google and their Chromium spawns feeding their dominance, but what Mozilla is doing now, I’m planning on moving to Waterfox from the looks of it. Present on all platforms, Android, Windows and Linux, supports sync and has all the tracking and telemetry bullshit stripped out. I just wish they’d get versions up to date a bit faster, but oh well, it’s probably a small team of people doing it in their free time so I can’t complain too much.
I’d direct people to Firefox, but Mozilla is doing some weird shit right now and I just can’t. And the forks are always with some weird limitations or issues. Why does it all have to be shit these days?
That would be a nice touch.
