Some mod didn’t like that you were able to convey instructions better than them.
What are you? Some kinda asshole?
Like… why though??
Banning with impunity like that to the extent of keeping you or anyone in the household for coming back forever no matter how small the transgression… is insane.
I’ve had MANY unsavory back and forths with people over the last 12 years on Reddit but to just say fuck you never ever ever come back and we’ve made steps to ensure it is weird. Batshit crazy
I know exactly what you mean. I never cared about my karma BUT old timer accounts with a lot of karma (I think I only had like 180k) shows that they’re active. Don’t you want activity?
How many of the people here are from the earlier Reddit era? Maybe that’s why it’s got a different vibe. Reddit’s actually banning the people that have conversations and create content with opinions and arguments. Constructive or not.
I know personally, I feel like a post is engaging when I go in and there are Zero comments. /s
Anyway, fuck you Spez.
I didn’t even try to appeal. I just nuked the account and came over here. If every comment needs to be a delusional sunshine and rainbows comment then I’m out.
Evading a ban is their version of resisting arrest lol. Fragile egos over there.
I toasted mine too. Honestly though, just one day over here has been seemingly more normal than what’s happening on Reddit.
I had my account of 12 years permabanned a few days ago. Never had an issue ever before the other day.
Wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.
Reddit wants each sub to be an echo chamber of repeated comments, they basically want to be 2013 Imgur.
Viewing the post and scrolling is the level of engagement that matters to them. That alone generates revenue. Comments better fall in line
At least that’s my two cents. I’m a Reddit Renegade not an admin
I already like it more than the stupid Reddit app. This is closer to Reddit a decade ago. Reddit has a knack for this. Still remember when Imgur was just an image hosting site FOR Reddit and then it turned in to tumblr. All those tumblr people that went to Imgur, liked Imgur because Reddit was too confusing. Now those people are on Reddit. I just want to keep staying away from those people. I’m basically talking about the hive mind, professional victim types.
It’s like they don’t actually WANT a user base
Hey, fellow banned for nothing.
I challenged a mod for my making a comment in a heated chain. I guess just since I was there I was evil.
I told the mod they were wrong and soft.
lol he cried to Reddit and they permabanned me.
I’ve said some controversial shit on Reddit in the last 12 years and never had a problem.
Reddit is gone.
Oh well, it looks nice here.
That’s probably why they don’t like me in the end. I don’t post for karma. I just post for engagement.
Edit: and I post/comment quite a bit
