In the great reddit to lemmy migration of 2023, a lot of users complained about the lack of content and engagement on lemmy. A number of lemmy moderators who came from reddit basically said the same thing and that they were working on deploying bots over here.
It looks like they did make some progress as there is a lot more content than there was 2 years ago. However, SOOOOO many niche subs just do not exist over here yet. Including most of my favs.

Then you message the mid, nothing.
My favorite was when I posted one comment on some obscure have subreddit about the Ukraine war.
Then I was immediately bagged from like a dozen other subreddits, many of which I had never heard of. Reasons included violating political rules … on a gaming subreddit about a game that simulates war between Russia and NATO. Go figure.
China uses little kids to build them. If we did the same in the US, America s would want to have MORE CHILDREN because they would literally pay for themselves!
Just imagine if all middle schools in the US required 2 hours of iPhone assembly per day. It would be excellent industrial training for the future generation!
