You already know who i am.

I definitely have BO, but I can’t smell my own, typically. however, I also just don’t find the smell of sweat/BO particularly offensive.
I’ve started using not an antiperspirant, but a substance that acts like a deodorant, because my partner is VERY sensitive to smells and mine apparently sets her off pretty badly.
my partner felt much the same way you do - she had never had a boyfriend before we got together, when she was 28.
we met through a dating site - OKCupid - don’t know if that makes a difference to you.
I’m from NZ. I was very surprised to learn that our gun laws were quite lax up until the relatively recent mosque shooting in Christchurch - the assault-style weapon the shooter used was quite legal, including the special modifications he had made to make it better for killing people.
in the wake of that tragedy, things have gotten a lot stricter, though I’m afraid I can’t provide specifics - while I love guns, my collections are confined to the virtual, and I really have no interest in owning one IRL.
op hasn’t provided any pictures, they might just be being matter of fact, eschewing false modesty?
56.6 is more than 30% more than 43.4. ie, 30% more people voted yes than voted no. that’s at the very least a substantial margin.
“i love my pet so much, I want them to be with me forever, bereft of everything I loved about them”
I’ve never understood taxidermy. I keep some pictures of one of my dead cats in the wall/as a wallpaper on my phone, and it still is sometimes upsetting to see him and remember that he’s gone.
was the republican party’s opponent called the democratic party back then? I thought they had other opposition, which was how they managed to be the left leaning party of the time.
wasnt the republican party the democratic party back in Lincolns day?
so, an example of democracy working how it ideally should, instead of how it could be expected to.
insert principle skinner meme
"am i out of touch with the will of the people?
no, the people don’t know what they want!"
Unfortunately this doesn’t work in practice. Sporadic murders of high profile politicians end up causing a lot of fear and galvanizing public sentiment towards tough-on-crime and other fascist leaders. A wide-scale revolution is almost always co-opted by a strong, militant group that seeks to establish an autocracy afterwards. Often they are bankrolling the revolution. And if they don’t exist at the time of revolution, it is inevitable they pop up to seize control afterwards
so then wth are we supposed to do to fight against the descent into fascism?
have you ever seen those composite images made by combining a huge number of other, radically different images in such a way that each whole image acts like one “pixel” of the overall image? i bet AI models ‘see’ those images very differently than we do.
I don’t know about what they’ve done, but some of the lyrics in songs by The Offspring are pretty questionable.
“I wish I could fix you… and make you how I want you”
or there’s an entire song called “she’s got issues” - which is a fucking jam - where the singer is complaining about how his abused girlfriend thinks SHE’S the victim when HE’S the one who has to put up with her.
not the greatest look.
that’s obviously your call, but if what you were expecting here is something you desire, where else are you going to get that?
(im asking this question genuinely, I’d like to know if there are other alternatives out there.)
i browse nothing but all. I’ve seen maybe a handful of posts that maybe featured a single tankie in the comments.
granted, I’m on kbin. maybe that’s making the difference
you don’t want to start. trust me on this.
I wonder if the verb Google will stay with us when its origin is lost in history
Jung’s work is too derivative. If you want to be taken seriously, coach it in terms of Freud’s theories.
