AMD did that, but Global Foundry doesn’t do that well, at least compared to TSMC. Also Intel was going strong with their fabs until AMD started building better chips architecture wise. I’m just saying that splitting might not work.

Java has still an enormous adoption, though. It’d be very self harming making it deprecated. And I don’t think containerization solves majority of cases, perhaps it does it better in backend. So both GC and Java are here with us like forever 🤷‍♂️

I moved from Spotify to tidal as well. Tidal is fine except for their catalogue mess. They tend to group different artists with same name to a single artist. Here and there I feedback them, they correct it in a week or so but the first next album is wrong again. I’m considering transition from Windows like OP, tried Ubuntu desktop first, since I have some experience with server version, and for some reason it kept crashing on me, then I tried fedora workstation and it works reliable, so I’m planning to stick with it. NVidia card, Ryzen 3700, plenty of RAM machine.

I remember, when we were learning prolog, that in the 70s, or something like, that they were already experimenting with AI and it was quite good at diagnostics. However doctors were scared of losing jobs instead of embracing it and using it as a tool. So they dropped it at the time. Hopefully they will use it as an additional tool this time and everybody profits.
