Can Canada apply to join Europe?
Disclosure, an not American. I don’t know much about the greens , I got distributed to get a few weeks ago just for mentioning that whether Stein was legit or not, some of her supporters made good points. USA seems to be locked into a mindset that everything is black or white. If you can’t win the presidency is not worth it. Have Sanders quit the Democrats tomorrow, and recruit a few star player to go with. That would be a real kick in the ass for the Establishment to care about peopl. Think Tea party for the left.
I meant even just a bit left of center, just something sane not totally sold to corporate.
Is now a good time to think about a third party? Actual left one. Not 1995 Republicans left.
Dreaming that a gigantic dam breaking and expecting the wave to reach and crush my whole neighborhood. As I could see it coming, from inside, I realized I was in a nightmare and just forced myself to wake up. Struggling really hard to open my eyes In a bit of panic to make it before the wave hits. Pop my eyes finally open, I’m in my bed, in my room. Awake. There are four freaking aliens around my bed! , the classic grey with shiny black eyes in a aluminum suits. They’re studying me and are surprised by my waking up. Took me what felt like another 3 seconds widening my eyes as hard as I could to finally really wake up. Scariest a shtt ever.
It sure was not for me, the minimalist / efficient modern take they went for, was the antithesis of my thoughts process. Good for portable devices is probably true, that’s why I couldn’t stand it on a desktop, it felt like it was meant to take over Android on tablets. it was a huge change.
I dropped gnome when they trashed the desktop for the new tablet like fad. Went to xfve, then mate, cinnamon, KDE… to me gnome with Compiz fusion was the pinnacle of desktops. I get why they wanted to start fresh, but it broke my perfect setup. I haven’t even bothered to look back since then, how did it evolve?
Oh it’s about speed. What’s the one that get your brain to be faster at programming? I use 4 fingers typing and am still typing much faster than I can think.
Isn’t this supposed to be VIM vs Emac? What’s is there point to be programming in the terminal anyway? Nano is good to fix some config files while your are in there, but if I needed to do real programming I’ll be finding something that works in the GUI.
Meow at the door until someone opens it, then not go outside and go back to sleep on someone’s reading material.
Mines are used for; backyard shoes when I’m not going anywhere, they live in the balcony, rough basement area, another pair lives there. I take them with me when camping, to lounge around and to kayak. They’re basically outside slippers.
They’ll replace you first, so they can replace your employees… even though you are clearly right.
There will be corporate editions that Let you turn it off. There is no way that get activated in defence related businesses.
Why wait? I’d recommend starting now with dual boot to get comfortable with Linux. Not that Linux is hard, but it takes time to adapt to the differences. With dual booting you will be able to jump back to windows when needed while you find the way you want to do things in Linux.
Thank you for that, I’ll have a look.

Somafm.com is fantastic. Been listening to them for 20 years, still no ads. Groove salad was my initial beat. I’m mostly on bossa now for office work ambiance, it’s great as background music to open onlinm eeetings. I know this make me sound like an old fart, because I am. They even got groove salad classic channel now… Anyway, good electronic, country, metal pop, vintage they have it all in well curated channels. Checkout secret agent or Illinois Street lounge for quirky ambiances.
