If you are talking about the Fennec browser (i.e. Firefox on android), this link is not pointing to that.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•what do you prepare to eat at your workplace?English
12·13 days agoI like cooking stews, but it’s gonna be a hassle to bring that to the workplace.
Stews are one of the easiest things to bring to the workplace. Their quality doesn’t degrade when eaten as leftovers, and they reheat very well in the microwave. What makes you think this would be a hassle?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you think of people who CONSTANTLY talk about religion?English
2·3 months agoOK, but being a victim doesn’t make you immune to this categorization. A victim of sexual abuse who rapes someone is still a rapist. Someone who was persecuted for their race who then persecutes others for their race is still a racist. Victims don’t get a “Get Out of Jail” card.

Linux@lemmy.ml•my reason why you should use KDE+Krohnkite instead of WMsEnglish
261·6 months agoBiggest con of KDE + Krohnkite (to me) is no text-based config. I really have no desire to pour through the GUI to set up all my keybinds. I’ve tried this setup before, and honestly I mostly like it. However anytime I want to change something I just hate having to click through a menu with my mouse. The search bar helps, but often you’ll spend a lot of time guessing what the devs decided to name a setting. I went back to Sway and have no regrets. Though I’ll admit I wish there was something that was basically Sway with the benefits you mentioned here.

kitty. The ssh kitten is enough reason to use it. I work ob a lot of different systems that require OTP. Using the ssh kitten I can type the OTP once and can spawn new terminals that ssh and cd to the remote direvtory without logging in again. Obviosly the tabs and window panes are are a must too. There’s tons of other useful features that I like, like using hints to select nunbers, filenames, urls, etc in the terminal output.

14·11 months agoI remember easily getting gems for free. Also the streak basically doesn’t matter at all. What made me uninstall is the slow pace. It felt like I was stuck on the same words and topics forever. It felt like I was not actually learning anything, which if you’ve ever started learning a language if a formal setting, is very apparent.
Crystal hot sauce is my goto. Tangy and just the right amount of heat to casually throw on anything if you don’t want to go into battle mode. Frank’s come close. Surprised that I’m the only one mentioning Crystal.
Secret Aardvark I think would be my second goto if you aren’t looking for a hot sauce with the acidity of Crystal, Tabasco, Frank’s, etc.

I guess to be fair, there are some local places around me that make sodas, which probably are reasonable ethical businesses. Depending on how many bourbon colas you’re drinking, it might be worth paying extra for an locally made soda if possible. If you don’t have someone that makes soda locally (which is probably likely), maybe consider buying from “gourmet soda” brands like Hank’s.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is Lemmy your "main social media app"? If not, which one is it?English
3·1 year agoLemmy. For more niche communities that don’t exist on Lemmy I use RSS feeds on specific subreddits. Discord for chatting with friend and other niche communities. LinkedIn because I’m in academia.
Lol, I have come to the conclusion that I want less of whatever this is. Here’s your medal for winning whatever debate you thought we were having. 🏅
I mean, I’m not calling for a police state to shut down cake day or something. Just saying cake day was a shallow activity imo. People can choose to do whatever they want, but I would rather us think about what was actually valuable about reddit rather than just importing whatever preexisting culture there was.
You’re getting a lot of retorts in response to your comment, but I 100% agree. Sure telling people happy cake day is fun the first few times, but it inevitably just becomes stale. One of the things that made reddit not enjoyable was people parroting the same phrases all over the site.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Men, are you physically affectionate with other male friends? (eg, hugging, snuggling, playful wrestling, etc). If you aren't, do you wish it was more socially acceptable if it isn't in your culture?English
9·2 years agoI hug my guy friends when I haven’t seen them in a while (e.g. my friends who live far away). Snuggling is super weird, and I don’t know of any guys who have done that. Feels like if I did, my wife would not be very happy. Affectionate fighting seems just over the top. Seems like something limited to children and movies.
I think the amount of physical affection I get from other men is fine. Don’t really need more
