Yum! I do this with tortilla chips crushed slightly and let them soak in the melting butter in the pan while it warms up. Same thing in reverse mostly. Delicious.
This right here. Every kid is different and parents should know what they need and be allowed the freedom to choose what’s right for them.
We have a 11 and 13 year old and neither are capable of disconnecting. I mean literally. They will skip sleep, meals and restroom breaks if given that level of freedom. So we have time limits. Reasonable ones in my opinion but still limits.
Also, I work in tech and one of the kids is extremely savvy at pushing boundaries and getting around my security , so I make it a game and give them the freedom to break limits in a controlled environment. This builds trust and teaches them at the same time.
Trust but verify and provide what’s best for your own kids.

Most batteries—regardless of type—contain toxic chemicals. Think cadmium, lead, lithium, or sulfuric acid. If your old batteries end up in a landfill, pollutants like these can leak out and contaminate groundwater, damage fragile ecosystems, and potentially make their way into the food chain.
Hard to execute
Nice, I see what you did there.

If advertising is meant to get attention and spark conversation, then goal achieved.
I watched this recently with my family. This episode carried a huge amount of emotion because we just moved about a year ago and all of us had challenges with the process.
For selfish reasons, part of me hoped they would move to show how the family handled it. Still a great episode though.
Result: “sorry we shared your personal data, here’s a check for 38 cents. “
That arms flailing last moment of “I regret everything” was great.
It’s only a matter of time till someone moves a stock market for profit with a deep fake. If it hasn’t happened already.
You could not have described my exact scenario any better. I’m in the same boat.
I have a 2015 leaf and while the estimated battery range has gone from 90’s to 60’s on mileage, it’s still kicking and gets me around the city just fine.

I’ve installed this on an old Chromebook already and it does work. You have to dig around for it a bit online but it has been available publicly for a while.
However , surprise, if it’s an old Chromebook you’re going to have to remove the internal write protect screw or use a Susie-q cable to make it the primary operating system on the device as they never intended for you to overwrite the existing os.
You can boot from usb or dual boot though.
Edit: plug for this awesome site that lets you update bios on chromebooks : https://mrchromebox.tech/#home
