As a sys/netadmin married to a developer, I’ve met a lot of developers, and can confirm that most are fucking retards who shouldn’t be let anywhere close to a computer. A result of developer becoming an “in” profession where you could earn a lot of money with minimal education, and managers having no clue what a developer actually is or what good developer work looks like.

A lot of idiots can’t. That’s how we got into this situation.

Meta, Alphabet and Microsoft are all criminal organisations who has been found guilty of multiple crimes and shows no sign of remorse or change of behaviour. Shareholders and employees with these companies should be held accountable, if not legally, then socially.

Capitalism is about ownership more than anything else. Capitalism states that the means of production is private property and to be used for the purpose of obtaining profit. As long as there is profit, supply and demand can go fuck itself along with the workers (those who produce). It really is a stupid system that can never be fully implemented (every economy is a mixed economy for a reason) since it naturally creates perverse incentive.

I found Cortana to be actually useful and way better than it’s contemporaries, so of course they killed it instantly 🤣

I think it’s neat. It has tons guides and plugins to do pretty much anything. Other solutions can be lacking in documentation. One big plus is the way you can just throw in whatever drives you’ve got laying around and not have to worry about them matching or anything. Is it the best performing? Probably not but it doesn’t need to be. For me it just hosts files and a bunch of fairly lightweight services.

Went with Bazzite for my main gaming rig almost a year ago. Really good all-round distro imo. Haven’t had an issue yet. NixOS for my other machines because it’s cool and I can have them fit for many purposes by just switching a single config file.

Skadeglad, if they want something easier to pronounce for an English speaker. But tbh I don’t know if these kinds of compound words should count at all.

Saw a post just today with a 1000 year old folding chair. Looked pretty much identical to the ones used today. Lost the post but kept the picture.
