This has been a thing for poor folks for a long time now. once they successfully wipe out the pesky middle class it will be a reality for everyone.
Regarding clothes, the low quality fast fashion makes clothes essentially disposable, so consumers don’t really own clothes anymore also.
2·7 months agoyeah, the back end is the scarier part. I don’t think conservapedia actually added that much content, it just copied Wikipedia and edited the parts they cared about. Automating that, while helpful, isn’t that big a deal IMO. Disseminating the resultant bullshit (with a hint of plausibility) is where the nightmares begin.

My brother loves his xterra so much he is on his 3rd (first was an accident, second went to the ex in the divorce). I rarely ride in it, but it seems kinda like a rattle trap to me. I dont know how much of that is his abuse and how much is the car.

One thing that doesn’t seem to get brought up is the AI porn angle. Gonewild is pretty big on reddit still. A lot of OnlyFans creators, and general perverts (respect). Reddit wants to commodify this content, so those people are selling the images of their bodies so AI can make porn of random strangers. Kinda fucked when you think about it.
the parental control thing is a thin smokescreen. Its about control.
The reality is our OSs and the websites we visit know exactly who we are. They know our blood type, they know if you are pregnant before you do. Why would they need your ID?
