I don’t live in car land. Hence I don’t commute or shop groceries via car. Charging seems a hassle for typical trips, but I am not an experienced driver. I want mini cars to be cheaper, not go farther, so using one is more sensible.
I struggle to believe that. Packing more batteries does not mean size has to increase by a lot. the biggest part of car volume is air anyway.
17k for not even 200km range sucks. EVs must get cheaper.
Edit: This does not mean that the car sucks. It means that profits must fall. Can’t have china have a 9k for 350km car. We must be better and cheaper! Also battery costs are plummeting.
“Critical Thinker” Yikes. Somehow the right made that a forbidden word in my mind because they hide behind that as an excuse for asking terrible questions etc.
Anyway. Allegedly the statistics are rather mediocre for self driving cars. But sadly I haven’t seen a good statistic about that, either. The issue here is that automatable tasks are lower risk driving situations so having a good statistic is near impossible. E.g. miles driven are heavily skewed when you are only used on highways as a driver. There are no simple numbers that will tell you anything of worth.
That being said the title should be about the mistake that happened without fundamental statements (i.e. self driving is bad because motorcyclists die).
To be fair: Beyond reasonable doubt is the highest certainty.
It is probably impossible to achieve that for some of the things you might justifiably deport someone.
The clear and convincing proof part is also plainly ignored, so that’s not the issue. The issue is a government that will execute its agenda no matter the law. You cannot stop that within the law as it is void.
This sounds like a medical term though
For fucks sake, have the 0 at the twelve o clock position and not this horrible mess. This ruins one’s day.
My Lemmy instance only owns this account, not secondary accounts on separate websites
But why? Just use a password manager instead of tying your identity to a Lemmy instance which you do not control.
Having SSO is reliant on having a single trusted server which has your password instead of you maintaining it yourself. This is just an unnecessary risk.
A mod removing a post ain’t punishment.
The issue is not the thread format, but the community they asked in and the generality and phrasing of the question. If you were to ask about a specific region and try to ask in a space where people who live there are willing to answer it would be much easier to moderate.
Not my point. I just presented an argument for closing the thread. There is a valid conversation to be had, but having it is difficult.
Doesn’t justify doing so as well. It should be punished the same way. But don’t complain about you being punished, but justice being served unequally.
If it gets racist or vile you still need to shut it down. This is a topic poised to become racial stereotypes told by majorities about minorities. You usually don’t verify the origin of the claimants.
E.g. those Turks and their bazaars trying to scam each other of the last penny, or something antisemitic.
I might have erred on the side of caution as well.
Saying without saying is still saying. Reddit mods may be stupid, but not that stupid.
Do you think you can trick the rules by just prefacing everything with “I am not say, that…”
This is actually a great example for why that stick must not exist.
You can also do this with a unbreakable stick and an unbreakable shorter tube. Throw the stick at a high velocity through the tube and it contracts for the point of view of the tube. Then close it shut. Now you have a stick that’s longer than the tube fully contained in it.
Not even a surprise open sourcing…
Nvidia did it better :)
500m is bigger than you think. Also fines escalate.
