Be that as it may, I love seeing a reply to one of my posts from someone I’ve blocked.

Lets me know that whatever bullshit they wrote is going to go eternally unanswered, and I hope it frustrates them.

I hate this entire fucking bill. Please, everyone, take a minute and call your representatives and senators’ local offices to voice opposition. (Not that it matters.)

TLDR:

• Tax Cuts for Individuals and Businesses (Including raising the estate tax exemptions to $15 million)
• Parents and older Americans face work requirements for food assistance (Fucking ghouls)
• And new work requirements for Medicaid (Again, ghouls)
• No taxes on gun silencers, no money for Planned Parenthood and more (All the better to hear the screams of schoolkids when your cops are hanging out in the hallway on their phones.)
• ‘MAGA’ kids $1,000 savings accounts
• Funding for Trump’s mass deportation operation
• More money for the Pentagon and Trump’s ‘Golden Dome’
• Tax on university endowments and overhaul of student loans
• More drilling, mining on public lands

Not on corporate media or social media.

But, it could leak out to the web on the fediverse.

We all saw the video.

Babbitt was clearly at the head of a violent, angry mob, and it boggles the senses that anyone felt she or her family were entitled to my hard-earned tax dollars to absolve her of her violent, idiotic stupidity.

This is one court case I’ll definitely be watching.

With ICE operating as a literal bunch of unidentifiable, masked kidnappers, it only makes sense that people are intervening. I’m also curious to see when one of these self-styled freedom fighters will emerge to stop one of these ICE kidnappings, in fact.

Sadly, history would suggest that’s eventually what happens. Democrats, for all their lofty rhetoric, love elevating the police as a militarized, licensed gang.

To be fair, the articles I’ve read about this have also indicated he wants to allocate three billion dollars to address homelessness, and that’s actually a good thing, as the current policy of rampant vagrancy addressed by policing and imprisonment is not only ineffective, but vastly more costly.

But even so, it’s still a ghoulish thing to say, and buckle up, because this motherfucker’s going to be the next Democratic candidate for president.

Dude, my eighty year-old parents have borrowed my car for 13 months so they can drive for DoorDash, and if they don’t, this country will render them homeless in an instant.

Of course I hate Joe Biden. I hate Trump too, and if Trump gets a cancer diagnosis soon, you’ll see this same exact post.

Both sides say that same stupid thing.

If Harris wanted my vote, she knew how to earn it, and it wasn’t by looking at four years of people’s impoverishment accelerating and then telling me she wouldn’t do anything different.

The trick here is Democrats rigging their primaries in three straight elections and you still pretend your vote means something.

I voted for him in 2020. (Which I regret.) At the time I naively thought that a vote for Biden, even though I knew he wouldn’t preside over any fundamental change, was an important cultural victory over emerging fascism. History has shown I was wrong about that.

I voted Stein in 2024.

But how is that relevant to the discussion exactly?

I didn’t vote Trump.

But who I voted for doesn’t change what a piece of shit Joe Biden is and was.

Absolutely. Reminds me of all the rosy things people said about Nancy Reagan at the end, and how we had to remind people that she helped kill an entire generation of young men because she thought it was what Jesus wanted.

It honestly blows my mind.

It’s like these people haven’t had to look at their own bills for the last four years, much less read a news headline about how Biden bloodied his hands on Palestinian kids.

Now seems like a good time to remember that he wasn’t called Genocide Joe for nothing. I truly hope that he’s feeling maybe half the fear that US bombs inspire in people worldwide right now.

The irony is not lost on me.

I, for one, would like to see more Democrats who are using their campaign funds to fill food pantries or run drives for period products. Kat isn’t like the assholes who are loaning their campaigns cash and then charging it back at 20% interest, and she’s right, Democrats objectively suck, and the people deserve more than ‘strongly-worded’ letters from their opposition.

She’s the kind of Democrat that can win voters back from Donald.

I really hate that, in a country where people can’t afford health care or basic food staples, this is the dumbass shit I’m stuck reading on the AP. Donald makes a choice to tank the economy because he just loves how it makes world leaders want to kiss his ass, and the rest of us and our families pay the price.
