Mint has treated me just fine since I converted.
I’m not proficient with Linux whatsoever, but Mint has literally been the most newbie user-friendly OS I have tried to date. So Windows can suck it.
For gaming, Steam runs things great. And for other things like GOG, Battle.net, Lutris has server me well. Proton does a good job.

I don’t think there’s a set age for that. It’s probably more of a mindset thing.
I drink, smoke and eat what I want, when I want. Gave up on chasing a new relationship and although it does get a bit lonely and I miss intimacy, I’d say I’m pretty happy where I am.
But yeah, I am in my 40’s and have been around the block a few times, so it’s not like I’ve missed out on anything.
But who knows? I might change my mind at some point. I was never too good with monotony and even this level careless freedom might grow stale in time.

I switched from Windows to Mint. Best thing I ever did for myself as It’s extremely user friendly.
Is it the best choice for you? That depends on what you’re looking for in Linux.
Personally I was just fed up with Microsoft and all the corporate shenanigans. But I’m too old and dumb to learn how to properly utilize Linux (not gonna kid myself on that front), and Mint has proven a great “Baby’s First Linux” for me.
I feel like that’s a more general human problem and not exclusive to people of any specific political orientation.
A quick look at TPB’s top 100 games tells me that was a lie.

It’s more welcoming to newbies than even Windows.
I don’t know if they are that less popular, but I like a good “Mindfuck” film.

I don’t know if the movies listed are the best representations, but they were some of the first that popped into mind.
Isn’t the entire point of the newer versions of Windows just to force the engagement with applications you normally wouldn’t use?

Meh, there’s a ton of songs written strictly from female perspectives or with a female audience in mind. From Peggy Lee to the Spice Girls and so on.
