I can’t even trust Alexa to buy stuff from Amazon. No way would I trust this to actually buy and pay for things for me

Yeah but “recommend” could mean anything? Is that 60fps at full ultra or 30 at high? It’s often quite a bit of trial and error to dial in a good compromise on lower spec pcs
Yeah same here. I’m not sure if I’d use Siri more if it were better, but to be honest I don’t really need all these ChatGPT stuff. Just make Siri better at the basic stuff it can already do.
Apple has had so many misses recently. The current AI stuff, Vision Pro and maybe the 16e (too early to tell) form stuff that has released. But also this Siri AI, Air Power wireless charging pad, Apple Car project.
The Apple Watch is probably the last hit they had (the M series chips are good but not really new products, but maybe that’s me being overly harsh)
Don’t let customers scan their own shopping if you don’t trust them, simple. But then they’d have to employ more people and not make as much profit
Currently have the SE 2nd Gen that’s already had 1 battery replacement and was thinking of getting this. The pricing is a bit high/close to the base 16 but I think if the battery life is good, I probably will upgrade.
For the company, saves having to send someone out to replace it, instead just update it over 3G or whatever
I think it’s just the nature of the platforms. On mastodon and Pixelfed you mostly come across users that you already follow, and the content isn’t geared towards replying. Whereas on Lemmy, you can get content from many users and that content is geared towards commenting
Can’t see Apple doing it if they don’t get any financial benefit from it
Does anyone use the Google “home” screen? Not seen anyone use it vs just searching via the url bar
That’s just fancy YouTube
I mean all “carbon neutral” means is they planted a few trees to offset it. Good, but not great
Yeah I’m sure $2,000 is the magic number
Who would win. A cyberpunk looking “$30k” robotaxi or one speed bump/pot hole
Sir this is a technology community
This has nothing to do with the article it’s self, but I absolutly hate GIFs as the thumbnail. I get that they do it for the attention, but if every site starts doing this, my feed will look awful.
So when’s the ruling against OpenAI and the like using the same copyrighted material to train their models
If their store was good I think more people would be ok buying via Alexa. But even searching on the web or app, the top result is hardly ever the correct thing I searched for
Wasn’t this just voice recognition for orders? We’ve been doing this for years without it being called AI, but I guess now the marketing people are in charge
What a pussy. Got a call from Tim Apple and caved immediately.
I feel like the uncertainty is worse for business than the actual tarries at this point
