I recall I didn’t get some sites working on Chrome either, when Firefox fails me 😅

I love games, gamification and chat roleplaying, socializing with people, volunteering, different lists and difficult topics!

I think Win10 already is everything what I need.
I have gotten a small feel of 11 from my girlfriend’s laptop - it feels alright.
But I think I won’t have reasons to upgrade. I haven’t studied 11 at all so I don’t even know am I missing something lol
When I don’t find information through a search engine, I go asking it from people themselves.
Discord is an easy solution for me to find this information at that point.
Much easier than generating yet another user account in a website I might use once in my life, while I already use discord a lot.
By the way - you can search for messages you have sent and for messages that were pointed directly to you. Makes delving into old conversations much easier.
Of course Telegram and other services like that can help too.
Maybe the devs love keeping answering same questions over Discord? =D
I don’t remember when I watched the telly at home previously. Most of my entertainment are games and then some YouTube and movies not so often (lurking in friend’s online streaming services or googling “watch x for free”).
Stopped watching the television when too many ads erupted even between the movies that were my last interest in this service.
Most of my telly shows I see nowadays are at a friend’s place, and I’m every time annoyed about the amount of ads.
Erm.
I recall a study about kids under a specific age that cannot get scared of looking at pictures of demons and other horror stuff because they don’t know yet what your everyday default person looks like.
So I’d argue that even people need to get accustomed to a thing before they could recognise or have an opinion about anything.
What’s un-seekable
So only shorts are delivered? Who not “normal” videos as well/instead?
So the fox is confused and fighting its own survival through battling its foe?
This made me think!
Would someone who was enjoying Internet services all the way from infancy (with no ad-blocking devices/apps), think that the amount of ads we have nowadays was the norm and that there was nothing weird or absurd about it?
I started in Kbin. I think that the activity level was smaller in there, which made me swap. Another reason was that Lemmy feels nicer to use (I like its looks more and I found a neat app on the phone to use it. Didn’t find an app for Kbin).
Hmm. Does this mean that it’s expensive to run this whole Fediverse thing and that the money is running out?
Cool. I don’t mind that popup though.
Stuff I advertise to people are mostly free to use 🤔
I think the only ads I see at home are Steam and my trash email.
One of my friend has YouTube in his TV that pumps ads, another friend watches the old-fashioned TV that also pumps ads, shopping malls have audio and visual ads, bus and train stations have ads…so I guess the last time I saw an ad was 7 hours ago or so.
I have done this same thing. My hearing is a bit hypersensitive and these kinds of headphones have helped me in many different, loud situations!
My Cake day is April 17, 2013.
I was maybe the most active for about the last ½-1 year before this August or something. Maybe 75-90% of my activity was lurking, viewing people’s discussions.
I didn’t notice negative events regarding Reddit before the API war in the summer. The subreddits I were at were nice places. I guess different communities/subreddits have conversations depending on the topic and how strick or active or casual or entertainment-only the community is about…so it’s kinda obvious to me that some places have more decent talk and some of them get karma more easier with smaller effort and stuff…
I’m sad about the API stuff. I lost contact to Relay before they talked about the need of subscription, so they can handle the costs. I’m fine with that, on Relay’s side - not angry about that. But my activity in Reddit took a plunge after I deleted Relay from my Android. Nowadays I go to Reddit only to read if there’s info I need (problems with software etc) not found as easily some place else, but I don’t create new stuff anymore.
Since I enjoy the idea of providing goodness for the masses regardless who and what they are, I approve taxes.
Well, as long as the tax money actually goes to make the country better for its people to live in.
FELLOW FINNISH PERSON
I did count my likes from some top liked comments or posts of mine before. It kinda feels the same as karma, to me.
I’d say that people always find some way to get addicted to something, in whatever.
