I’m re-reading the First Law series, actually listening to Steven Pacey read it to me. I recently finished Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse. I want to read A Memory Called Empire next.
I agree. I don’t think the enshittification of Reddit is complete yet. Just like how Elon finds more ways to make Twitter worse.
I first saw “enshitification” used in a blog post by Cory Doctorow about TikTok. Love the term. https://pluralistic.net/2023/01/21/potemkin-ai/#hey-guys.
I use the Dresden files books as a palate cleanser between more difficult reads. So much fun. I listen to the audiobooks read by James Marsters.
I listened to the 2nd and 3rd books of the Murderbot series on a car ride recently. I had read them before, but it was the first time that he did. I really enjoyed laughing with him.
I’ve been doing this for the more complex books with a lot of world building.
