The show is its own thing. It was always going to need to be radically different to work on the screen. That’s what adaptation means.
Just another reddit exile.

The TV series is quite different, but retains most of the core concepts. It’s much more character-driven, and looks absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommended for anyone who likes sci-fi.
I’ve become a full convert to tablet reading because of this. It’s also nice to be able to slip my book into my pocket and take it anywhere easily.
Feels like I’m in a sci-fi story every time I use it.
How can it be unhandled? It’s right there in the song, just before the spout!
The Lisa Simpson presentation meme is perfectly cromulent for soapboxing.
But if you didn’t know, Stephen Crowder is a right-wing Fox News presenter and commentator (he often hides under the dubious label of “comedian”) who has been booted from YouTube several times for homophobic and racist content. The meme format is okay in itself, but I’d love to not see his smarmy mug in it.
The great thing about memes is anyone can make a new one. I eagerly await the replacement for this one, which to my nose has gotten quite stale.
I just wanted to chime in here and add this lame-assed meme template to things we should retire in the fediverse.
Stephen Crowder is a bigoted chode, and using him for your meme template only undercuts whatever point you want to make.
Find a new meme for this purpose. Let’s do better.
I mean, you’re welcome to do one with your clothes on.
It’s already a word, which is bound to create confusion and be harder to search for.
LAYA is also a homophone for a certain space princess, but the spelling is unique.

I mean it’s literally no different from guests on talk shows or podcasts. They are almost never there just for fun.
And I get it. Why would you put yourself through that unless you’re promoting something?
Imma need to see your verification pic, Ms. Robbie.
It doesn’t have to start with A-listers.
Or from the reverse, Lemmy Answer You. Are we okay with the inevitable shortened version being LAY? Perhaps we should keep the “anything” on the end so it becomes LAYA. Much better SEO.
Common sense and decency would suggest doing them as child comments so that the whole thread of them can be easily collapsed.
Only a jackass would do a bot command as a top comment.
On a dog.
