I used this word because it’s definition applys to the scenario. It’s the act of pilaging and plundering of my system resources by microsoft and other monitoring tools with no recourse but to abandon them. rape is a perfectly fine word to use. if it was strictly limited to sexual acts, I wouldn’t have used it.

edit: I use this word at work too and have no issues with it both verbally and written. moreso verbally because people can’t apply multi definitions of words and always assume 1 main definition

I personally haven’t found much. I always gravitate back to movies like battle royal, death note etc… best western movie I love watching is short circuit.

another poster gave some euro recommendations I will be checking out. I’m not against media movies or whatever, just none of them are interesting. it’s all the same general premise for me.

I guess the last tv show I liked was that superhero one with the wrestling guy. cena was his name I think. it was edgy and pushed boundaries. I appreciate that.

to be fair, the best movies I’ve s een and do rewatch, are movies from countries not western.

my top 2 movies are Battle Royal, and Death Note (the human one, not the animes). subtitles are 100% fine with me. the. along came that hunger games thing and people went wild, meanwhile I found it bleh and rewatched battle royal again, and again and again. I do like movies, just VERY little past 2010.

I will for sure checking your movie recommendations, I’m not against movies and such just everything ‘western’ is bleh…it’s all the same vibes every single time.

these days, all my media is from small content creators or Indy devs. I pirate way less then I ever have and buy almost everything. I have no objection to pirating since it’s not technically theft, but I do want Indy devs to be appreciated so I buy.

I’d say the biggest studio/dev I buy from is Team17. never seen a game I didn’t really enjoy by them. simple, nothing predatory and fun.

probably nothing. AAA games are not worth the bandwidth, even free.

I just don’t consume media anymore. it’s all slop. I only support Indy developers by buying now, and watch streamers talk and play games. that’s it. they deserve my money, and my attention. not companies.

I am only keeping Google email to give back to the enshittificTion by only using it for trash companies that can’t be trusted when I have too. otherwise I have other email services they will never know exists.

most of the reason I’m cancelling … beyond sick of hearing some random bullshit I didn’t ask for, nor want to hear. Everytime some trash pops on, I close the app before it’s even close to done playing the song… I boot up vlc player on my phone and load my mp3s like it’s the 2000s…

just reconfigured my audio on Linux, and have been essentially ripping songs from Spotify nonstop. once I’m done with the obscure music I can’t find elsewhere, Spotify will be officially dead to me.

it was a ‘warning’ for current Linux users or tech savvy/computer literate people like I stated… it’s still good, just restrictive in that it protects you from yourself, hut actually can be a hindrance to power users. nothing wrong with what I said.

warning for bazzite: It’s very restrictive and doesn’t let you actually manipulate it like most distros. if you’re even remotely tech savvy and want to explore/play around in Linux, do NOT install bazzite.

if you don’t care, and want their team to ‘protect you’ from doing pc damage, the. use bazzite.

(backstory; I went to modify my fstab, it allowed me to with no issues. I broke the file… fine, went to edit it to revert back… root access was revoked and I was told to f myself by bazzite. I had to enter grub? (can’t fully remember) to modify it back which worked but was a pain in the ass I should have had to do. promptly uninstalled and never looked back.)

the ‘economy’ doomed itself when it put profits over customer loyalty, good quality products, repair centers, aftermarket parts, and basically making a product that actually makes their company look good.

instead, it’s all garbage that easily breaks, cannot be repaired, warranty is void please buy another one and btw it’s got ‘buzzword buzzword’ so it costs more. oh and subscribe on the app to access all the features we sold you on already.

yeah I’m not sure. there was no physicals on the enclosure that I recall other then raid0 or 1 but I’ll double check.

can confirm. I can understand how to make things work as I need it to in Linux, but I figured I’d try bazzote because people were saying how great it is. knowing how to manipulate Linux how I want, and using bazzite because very annoying because of the restrictions which I didn’t read about before hand. I wasn’t blaming Linux as a whole, just bazzitr specifically for trying to protect me. essentially they let me break it, but wouldn’t let me fix it.
