If it were being used responsibly I’d advocate for higher taxes, but here in the US taxation is theft.
Blocking people is self care! Especially toxic ones!

Please confirm that sleep is configured correctly for your hardware.
Read this article from the Arch Wiki then refer to Section 3 after you’ve familiarized yourself with the content to make the changes necessary.
Many hardware implementations of the various sleep types are borked due to workarounds for the way Windows would prefer to handle sleep. The information in this article should allow you to mitigate this.
My Blu Ray player has never been connected to the web, its region free, but doesn’t do 4k-BD. My Linux HTPC is configured with an ASUS libredrive, and has MakeMKV installed. The Linux variant of MakeMKV is borked right now, in a good way! The 30 day trial period doesn’t expire!
If I wanna watch a 4k bluray I have to rip it and watch it on my PC, because I’d rather do that than get a BD player that needs internet
Gods, plural. But believe is a weird word.
I commune with the ancient gods of my ancestors, whether I believe in them is complicated though. I spent most of my life atheist after the christian church failed to grab me. I learned of my ancestral religion from my great grandmother and my great aunt. Grandma was Catholic on paper but still recognized the old gods. My aunt called herself a druid.
I choose to commune with the old gods because I have to believe in something. I’ve felt the call of spirit, the gaping void in my heart where spirituality was meant to be, but I do not trust organized religion. I don’t trust the churches. I don’t trust those who would hold power, enforced by faith, over those who do not know better.
While I don’t recommend it for a first watch, I have access to a copy of the fulcrum cut, a super-cut of the last three episodes of Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith.
You can DM me if you want it
I use the Kotatsu android app, available on f-droid (unless it got banned) and github.
Pulls from hundreds of providers. Some of the sites don’t work without captcha, so ymmv.
Also, turn off notifications for the app, lest you recieve a hundred notifications about a site needing a captcha.
I hope I didn’t imply that my practices are the same as in modern Hungary. My practices are entirely my own, developed from what my great grandparents taught me. They immigrated here as children close to a century ago, and were Catholic on paper when they did.
The culture in my family that survived americanization is slovak and Hungarian in nature. My mother failed to pass most of the culture her grandmother tried to pass to her, so I’m doing my best to return to my roots.
I commune with the old gods, Mokosh, Veles and Dazhbog. I try to listen to the world and take cues in action from nature. I practice herbalism, rejecting western medicine for most purposes.
Can’t use libreOffice and translate the Q code into whatever language libreCalc uses?
This is completely unrelated to your problem:
The calibre website recommends extremely strongly against using their software packaged by anyone else other than calibre themselves as they are often (see usually) buggy or extremely outdated.
It may be worth it to manually “install” the app from their website somewhere in your ~/.local/ and see if you have less issues using the official package.
Frustrating.
The rate at which I absorb information is disgusting. Yes please finish your sentence I already have a response why are you taking so long. How did I learn that? I picked up the manual and did it. Developing new skills? Learning Rust right now and its going well, failed out of highschool because I learned too easily and didn’t need the homework to learn (so it didn’t get done).
It comes with imposter syndrome: I knew the problem, I had the pattern figured out, why did I still fuck everything up (plot twist I probably didn’t).
It comes with a superiority complex: I learned this in 10 minutes from looking at a Sci Journal, why has it been hours and yallvstill don’t get it? 🙄
It comes with accidentally hurting people: frequently I say things thinking something hould be obvious when it is not, while unintended, it often hurts my partner who is usually in the line of fire when I let some dumb shit outta my mouth and insult someone’s intelligence.
Anyway I hate it I’d rather be dumbsauce ignorance is bliss
I’ve found that a lot of apps with touch gestures need Touchégg to work correctly, could be worth a shot to give it an install. I use a converted macbook, and for any gestures to work with the apple trackpad at all I have to have touchegg, my partner has it on her converted pixelbook go to make the trackpad not feel awful there too.
I’m too dumb to set up Wayland on Nvidia and honestly don’t really care to. My laptop has an intel haswell-ult so it works with Wayland ootb and all the apps I use on it (literally just calibre, falkon, lapce and libreoffice Writer) work fine.
Edit: spelling
I usually don’t like to dogpile onto authors but I went to look at their article history (at least at this outlet) and they look to be almost Invariably Click-bait and or AI Trash.
How would I check that?
Edit: actually, Lemme just rtfm
Barely a week later and I had to do the thing. My partner uses LMDE and Nvidia 535 is the newest version in their repos, but we need nvidia 565+ for Kingdom Hearts 3.
Installing from the website wasn’t as hard as I remember.
I was today years old when I realized I can install packages non-privelaged if I leverage ~/.local/

Installing Nvidia drivers from official repos provided by the maintainers of your distro? Easy as pie.
Installing Nvidia drivers from nvidia’s website? Good luck my friend, I hope you know what you’re doing.
Havent needed them in months, I’ve been at 30 days remaining in evaluation period for 3 months.
