Let me know in the comments if there’s anything missing or mistake in the post, or if you would like any change.
*: No official news about US prices for Pokémon (that I could find), this is based on UK prices.
Looking forward to the upgrades for BOTW and TOTK. Curious if they’ll feel/look much different than the original versions.
Played BOTW last night for about 20 mins after the update SO MUCH SMOOTHER AND CRISPER. Feels like a different game almost
Tears of the kingdom feels so much better.
No stuttering at all in towns, buttery smooth framerates. Great HDR. It’s so good.
Switch line up is looking pretty dry. Only 2 games in 2025 (assuming Metroid Prime 4 releases in 2025). I thought they will support it for at least an year or so, maybe with nothing major, but some more remasters etc. There are two 2026 games announced too, but I was expecting a bit more.
We may get some news in a Direct in June / July. Let’s see.
Hyrule Warriors is really the only interest to me, and I can probably wait on that since I still have to get through age of Calamity and then Cadence of Hyrule.
80$ for Mario Kart is absolutely mental
I have heard from some people that the open world isn’t that great. Looking forward to proper reviews now.
I’m sure the game will be fun enough, for people who want this experience regularly, but the price is just outlandish. There’s barely any innovation, version over version, and yet they are asking near double the money that Larian ask for Baldur’s Gate 3 today
I’m getting my switch tonight and took tomorrow off to play it and I’m realizing I’m basically going to be playing Mario Kart and old gamecube games. I think it’s wild they couldn’t have also had DK come out a month earlier
Hell I was hoping I’d at least get to play Hades 2 but that also doesn’t have a release date
Well, if you don’t have any other console / gaming platform, there are quite a few other games coming out, like Cyberpunk, Yakuza, Kunitsu-Gami, Hitman, Street Fighter etc.
If you are just getting it for first party games though, and have already played all the Switch 1 exclusives, then yeah, not much on it right now.
I do already have a PC and PS5 so I’m going to probably prefer to play games on those. I guess there’s also the switch 2 demo game that isn’t even free lol
